For the record, George Clinton & Rick James are sworn enemies. There's even cartoons dissing RJ on one of those P-Funk records. I think it was a later Funkadelic album.

If you are ever bored one day and want to experience some musical euphoria, put Knee Deep on and check the 11 minute lead guitar rip about 7 minutes into the song. It starts right after the chorus ends, "She's a freak . . . " Then it starts. Man, right after the rip, Phillipe Wynn comes back in and starts to sing and it brings chill to me everytime I hear that. Hard to believe they used to have so many talented musicians getting down for theirs. Way ahead of their time. Look for the live concert on DVD from Texas in '76.
