Yo Mike B you ill son, LOL My Man! Yo everything you said about everybody is dead on you mentioned some cats I forgot about and couldn't think about, sorry to hear about Jocko you're right those guys in the 'Ville tend to have to be fathers and other things to these cats, what they do always surpasses basketball, pillars in their communities indeed. I know Mike Brown he works for the city and yeah Tree(Herm Harried) is still around and noooo question Skip was nasty and yes better than Phil Ford and as a freshman in the ACC semi-final game against David Thompson and Tom Burleson he dropped 44 and almost won the game at the buzzer with a corner fade away that went in and out. Yeah I forgot about Sid Green at UNLV and I forgot Rich caught that body is he home yet? Skip is my man I asked him about the toughest cat he played against in NY and he said a dude who had a story just like his a dude none of us mentioned and that is Fly. He said Peewee and Joe where tough too, we had this convo at work about 10 years ago. Another dude outta Bmore Ernie Graham is my man too, he played in Albert's shadow at Maryland he me told how he used to disrespect Lefty back then and how almost everyday he threatened to transfer and call the NCAA and tell them he was paying Albert, and why they were at odds bcuz he felt he was a superstar high school American too they had won like 60 straight games until they went to Philly and got beat by Gene Banks and them. He spit on Lee Raker he used to bully Terry Gates and disrespect Mike Gminski and Jim Spanarkel calling them crackers and slow white boys, he said Dee I was just a young dude from East Bmore that had never been out of the hood man I didn't know any better. He told me how Lefty blackballed him in the NBA and how he had a chip on his shoulder when he went to Sixer camp, he told me one day at practice he told Doc "I'm coming for your spot, one day this is gon be my team" picture that. He did put 52 on DOc at the Civic center in 1983 when he had a team that played against the DR J All-Stars, a young Isiah,Doc Rivers,Dominic Wilkins and a few more pros it was one of the best games I ever saw,he told me he dropped 52 but Doc & Moses & them had just won that ring and he could've been a part of it,he went home with the MVP trophy and he cried. He told me he and Lefty made their peace at the 1994 ACC tournament he saw Lefty and said come here for a second he and Lefty went under the bleachers and he said he opened his mouth to say Im sorry for how I never respected you man and he started crying then Lefty held him and said I know Ernest then he started crying and Lefty admitted that he did treat Albert better and as a man he should've tried to sit down and talk to him(Ernie) knowing he was just a young man, nice ending man and yo that is the reason why no Bmore dude went to Maryland until 1992 when Keith Booth did bcuz of how Lefty treated Ernie Graham,by the way his brother Gary went to Dunbar and played with Spoon and Richie Adams too,he told me Richie Adams was scared of cats hahahaha! Yo man I gotta go to work so much more I want to build on but you def answered alotta my question as far as NYC hoopers now I know how and where those dudes are LOL MY man! Peace my dude...

Bigscore, Did you're cousin(Troy Blackmon), Play with Roosevelt Chapman at Westinghouse HS during the late 70's/early 80's, Or did you're cousin play for Westinghouse HS with Gerald Green(5'11 cat who played in the backcourt for Seton Hall with John Morton from Gomphers HS in the Bronx during the mid 80's to late 80's, My man), Also, Bigscore, Did you're uncle GregSmith), Coach at John Jay when Pookie Wilson(5'11 cat from the Bronx, Who played for Far Rockaway HS during the early 80's), Played for John Jay during the early to mid 80's(Pookie Wilson lead the CUNY conference in scoring for about 2 years during the early/mid

80's, Along with Pookie Wilson puttin in much work at the Rucker during the mid to late 80's, Before Rafer Alston started to run the yard at the Rucker during the early 90's thru the late 90's, My man/LOL), deezel65, Good lookin in regards to the very kind words, My man(Much respect to you and your's too, My man), deezel, Though, You're man Skip Wise received the ACC Freshman of the year award in 1975, Phil Ford won the ACC MVP award as a Freshman in 1975(Which was

Un-heard of at the time, Considering all of the cats who we're playing in the ACC at the time like David Thompson(North Carolina State), John Lucas(Maryland), Mitch Kupchak(North Carolina), Tree Rollins(Clemson), Rod Griffin(Wake Forest), Wally Walker(Virginia), Steve(The Bear)Sheppard, Etc, My man/LOL, deezel, Richie
Adams should be home by now(I'll have ask cats from up the way/New York though, My man), deezel, Fly Williams was an extremely tough cat with his during the

70's, Infact I remember Fly Williams playing in HS during the early 70's(Fly used to play for James Madison HS during the late 60's to early 70's, Against cats like World B.Free(Canarise HS), Jocko(Canarsie), Bernard King(Fort Hamilton), Al Dean/Rip(Tilden HS), Arnold Duggar/Rip(Clinton HS in the Bronx), Geoff Huston
(Canarise), George Johnson(New Utretch), Butch Lee(Clinton), Alex Eldridge/Rip(Taft in the Bronx), Bernard Rencher(Mater Christi in Queens), Reggie Carter/Rip(Long Island Lutheran), Etc, My man(deezel, The New York City HS and summer tournament basketball circuit was mad tough during the 70's, My man/LOL),

deezel, Good lookin regarding the information on you're man Ernie Graham, My man(Though, I felt Ernie Graham was a nut during his tenure at Maryland from 1977-1981, Ernie Graham put in work though, My man/LOL, deezel, I always felt that Al King was over-rated too, My man(Cats we're soupin Al King up since 1975, When Al King was a sophomore at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, Infact, Cats on the sports media circuit in New York, We're soupin Al King up to be better than Bernard King

In 1975 when Al King was a sophomore at Fort Hamilton and Bernard King was Freshman at The University of Tennessee(Bernard King was giving cats 25 a night at Tennessee as a Freshman in 1975, Though, Cats we're soupin Al King up to be better than Bernard King, My man/LOL), deezel, Magic Johnson would sometimes build about Al King being the top player in HS in 1977, Gene Banks was the second rated player in HS and Magic was the third rated HS player in the country and

Magic felt that he did not receive the attention that Al King and Gene Banks received, Because those cats we're from the east coast(Which was mad true too, My man/LOL), deezel, Richie Adams, Gary Springer and Kenny Hutchinson we're all down with Franklin HS crew in 1980(Which was the top rated HS in the country, Though, Franklin lost in the PSAL semi-finals to Stevenson HS in the Bronx, Who had Freddie Brown(Georgetown) and Eddie Pickney(Villanova), My man,

deezel, Richie Adams used to make cats cop mad plea's trying to lay it up or get to the rim to sling it(Dunk), On him(Richie Adams), In HS and the summer league circuit in New York during the late 70's/early 80's(Especially at King Towers on 115thst and 5thave in Harlem and Riverside Church during the late 70's/early 80's too, My man/LOL), But, Richie Adams was out of position playing down low against bigger cats(Exhibit A:I remember Richie Adams coppin mad plea's to Pat Ewing

When Georgetown played against UNLV in 1981, Richie Adams was mad fessing to sling it on Pat Ewing the whole game, My man/LOL), deezel, They're was another cat from Brooklyn who was going to Maryland in 1975 by the name of Al Dean(Who was first-team All-PSAL for Tilden HS in Brooklyn in 1975), Al Dean was 6'10 and had alot of the skills and talents that Moses Malone had in 1974(When Moses Malone came out of Petersberg HS in Petersberg,Virginia), But, Al

Dean was tragically killed when a cat was in the midst of stinging(Robbing), Al Dean's moms rest in Brooklyn(Al Dean tried to run up on the cats stinging his moms rest, And, Al Dean caught a few in the neck during the summer of 1975, Money was preparing to go to orientation at Maryland the next week too, My man),

deezel, Al Dean would have been the show at Maryland(Not Al King, Who was nice, But, Not as nice as alot of cats we're soupin him up to be, My man), deezle, Here's a clip of an interview with Fly building about giving cats 100 points at IS8(Pro summer tournament in Jamaica,Queens in 1978, I used rest across the street from IS8 during the 70's to mid 80's, My man).

    Much Respect

Damn Mike I thought I knew a little something but you you're a hood basketball encyclopedia not to mention what you know about college & Pro cats teams etc. I heard about AL dean and you know what Mike you're absolutely right Ernie told me Albert didn't want to play BB,that's why after he made the league he didn't turn into what people though he would he took the money and ran. He's a businessman now days Ernie stays in touch with all them dudes still and is heavy into the Maryland Alumni thing. He said Al told him being tall and having Bernard as a big brother pressured him into playing he really wasn't that much into it, he put work in tho,I was so mad in the 80-81 season they were #4 in the country,(DePaul Mark Aquire, Terry Cummings, Skip Dillard,Teddy Grubbs and Clyde Bradshaw was number #1 then got bumped by St Joes in the early in the tournament) they faced Defending champ Louisville and they punished Maryland, then in the NC2A tournament Indiana(Zeke & them) beat em by 30. Al King was nasty and Ernie was my homey but Buck was that dude my fav Terp ever,I remember Bill Fitch(Nets) said "you can trade the whole damn team I dont care just leave me Buck" he was a real horse. Oh yeah I forgot about Butch, him and Sam winning it for the old Man (Al McGuire) in '77 Yo what about Bo who used to coach Brownsville team Sweetpea(Lloyd Daniels) and big Purdy(LIU),every other word that Bo said was "yo" or "ayo" how about then cats? I remember Speedy, yo do yo know a cat from uptown named "Jim Ice"(Jim Jim) he went to Lamar he played with Rod Strickland alot, he's up North with two bodies since the early 90s? Anyway Mike thanx for today's lesson my dude, My Man LOL peace my Mellow

deezel, Last thing i heard about Al King, Al King was a franchise owner of fast-food resturants in the Atlanta area a few years ago(On the low Jamal mashburn is the franhise owner of Papa John's, Dunkin' Donuts and Outback Steakhouse, as well as car dealerships. Jamal mashburn owns over 34 Outbacks, 37 Papa John's and 2 car dealerships in Kentucky, Along with Jamal Mashburn making over 71million during is 13 years in the NBA too, My man), deezel, Your're right regarding Al King

Having Bernard King as an older brother truely helped Al King alot(Al King was nice with his, But, with all of the hype surrounding Al King, Money should have been alot better during the his college years at Maryland and the NBA during the late 70's to the mid 80's, My man), deezel, That St.Joseph's crew that beat Depaul in the first round of the 1981 NCAA tournament(That was the same day that Hamilton HS in Brooklyn beat Jackson HS from Queens in the 1981 PSAl championship game

At St.John's, My man/LOL), Well, St.Joseph's had Lonnie McFarland(6'5 cat from West Philadelphia), and, Tony Costner(6'10 left-handed cat from West Philadelphia too, My man), deezel, I remember Mark Aguire being so heated that Depaul lost(Again in th efirst round/LOL), After St.Joseph's beat Depaul, Mark Aguire ripped off his uni and walked to the locker room bare-chested with his jock showing, My man/LOL, On the low, Kenny Patterson wanted to play with Mark Aguire at Depaul

(That's why Kenny Patterson signed to play for Depaul in 1981 out of Forest Hills HS in Queens, My man), deezel, Buck Wiliams was a tough cat too, My man(On the low, Buck Williams comes from the same HS in Rocky Mount,North Carolina that Phil Ford played for during the early to mid 70's, 'Rocky Mount HS', In Rocky Mount,North Carolina, My man), deezel, Do you remember the mad static Buck Williams used to have with Lonnie Shelton(Who was down with the Knicks during

The late 70's to early 80's, Then Lonnie Shelton was down with the Seattle Supersonics during the early to mid 80's), Well, Lonnie Shelton was mad jealous of Buck Williams success, Adn Lonnie Shelton used to go the knuckle-game route with Buck Williams on more than a few occassions during the early to mid 80's, Infact, I have one fight between Lonnie Shelton and Buck Williams on tape(VHS), Off of Warner Wolfs plays of the year in 1984, My man/LOL, deezel, Buck Williams and

Lonnie Shelton fought from one end of the court to th eother end of the court in regards tot eh knuckle-game, My man/LOL, deezel, Isiah Thoams cracked Jimmy Black's ass mad hard during the 1981 NCAA championship game too, My man/LOL(Jimmy Black was 1st-team All-CHSAA/Catholic league for Cardinal Hayes in the Bronx in 1978, My man), deezel, i would like to make a correction in regards to Butch Lee and Sam Worthen, My man, Sam Worthen was not down with the 1977

Marquette crew that beat North Carolina in 1977(Dean Smith was buggin going to that 4-corners with 8 minutes left, Which put Marquette in a postion to fallback in a zone which killed North Carolina's momentum mad lovely the rest of the game, my man), deezel, the cat who played the point in the backcourt with Butch Lee was a cat by the name of Jim Boylan(6'1 white cat from North Jersey), Sam Worthen was at San Jac(San Jacinto Junior College in Texas), In 1977 and 1978, Sam

Worthen was down with Marquette in 1978 the year after Marquette took it(The NCAA championship), In 1977, Infact, Sam Worthen was in the backcourt with a cat by the name of Michael Wilson(6'3 cat from Tennsesse who played the shooting guard spot in 1978 and 1979), Though, Artie Green(Former All-American at Taft HS in the Bronx in 1977), Was also down with Marquette in the backcourt too(Sam Worthen and Artie Green did not start together, Artie Green came off the bench

Behind Michael Wilson in 1978 and 1979, My man, deezel, I'm not familiar with you're man, 'Bo', Who used to coach in Brownsville(Did you're man, 'Bo', Coach for Brooklyn USA during the 70's and 80's too, My man), deezel, Do you remember, 'Boo Boo Vaugh', From Bed Stuy, Who used to ref in games during the summer

League circuit in New York(West 4th, Breevoort projects, Tillary Park, Nero tournament, BRC in Brownsville, Morrish American league, deezel, Boo Boo Vaugh was killed around my way in Jamaica,Queens in 1987, Due to a highstakes basketball game that Boo-boo Vaugh was reffin in 1987, My man.

Yo Mike you're amazing my dude and yeah you're right about Sam I figured he didnt get a lotta time since I never saw him in a highlight or a re-run of that game. I remember Butch on the cover of Sports Illustrated tho, just as Billy Goodwin was when the Johnnies won the Big E in 1983 against Mike Adams & John Bagley. Mike Moses Willie Glass Billy Bill Wennington and who else played on that team,no need to Wikipedia when we got cats like us with good memories and who know their ish especially you my mellow. Yes he did, Zeke(My fav NBA player) gave it to Jimmy Black, and sent Al Wood,James Worthy and the crew home egos crushed,yo think how nasty Al Wood was, then he was trash in the league smh. I remember Bill Weddington flushed it on big Pat a few times back then and yeah Buck and big Lonnie used to get it on Lonnie never did too much if you ask me Warner Wolf LOL MY Man! Haven't heard that in years "Lets goooo to the videotape" Nah Bo didn't coach BKLYN USA Jeff Mayweather Sheeky and them dudes nah he coached big Purdy and them B'ville had two teams,I remember Boo Boo they murdered that dude over a call man that was foul son I understand Gs was ridin on that game but still, then again in that world nothing makes sense. Yo Kenny Patterson was my man son I always liked him but he couldn't shoot so he didnt make it but yeah I can see him signing with Ray Meyer to play with Mark and them other cats you right Mark ripped his joint off and never played another college game ever. I remember in 86 I was out here for a visit and nI stopped and saw the CBA game, The Bmore Lightning Kenny P and Superstar Billy Goodwin played I think Kenny just got honored(a few years ago) for something at Depaul he may have graduated I cant remember but how is Billy G? Yo that's crazy how much bank Jamaal Mashburn is gettin jeeeeesh! Oh yeah Pat Kennedy is coaching out here at Towson State and he's using Sam Cassel to get some of the local cats,as you remember he coached Sam at Florida State, yeah I remember Artie Green and that '81 St Joes team was tough man, tough. Yo check this and I gotta run, yo I was going thru diagnostics in Atlanta right,so I was in the library and I grabbed an encyclopedia and looked up Basketball and there was a pic of Kenny P. throwing an entrance pass down low to Dallas Comegys and I know it was '83-'84 season bcuz he had on those Royal Blue patent leather Adidas Top Tens(my fav) that came out in '84 so of course I stole the pic and hung it in my locker my fav shoe and one of my fav college PGs I came off, LOL My man! Yo I gotta bounce my mellow Peace...

Waddup my dude yo I didn't know Red was nice like that we're friends on facebook Imma mention that to him and see what he has to say. Yo EZ AD is my man on facebook too we kick it here and there and I'll be sure to mention that to A also,as far as Spyder, yo Spyder is my man we kick it on facebook more than Red & AD we talk about hooping and sports in general, he told me about his cousin (cant remember his name) but he played against Beetle in BKLYN he told me about Eastern Michigan and when he hurt his knee,as for Newtroit records he's resurrecting that label I fux wit Spyder tho. Yo David Russel (lefty)was who I was lookin for on that '83 St Johns championship team yeah Willie Glass, Mark and Shelton Jones came later I remember Chris was on there. I saw him Eddie Pinkney(Ez Ed) Aubrey Sharrod, Mike Jordan,Big Pat,Nigel Miquel,Greg Dreiling Stuart Gray, in 81 against Billy Martin Adrian Branch and the DC all-stars at the Capitol Center MJ won MVP it was a good game.Yo I never knew Derek Chevious(Missouri) was from Queens I saw him and Rudy Archer (BMore cat) go at it in the NCAA tournament in 88 he was nice too son. I know Easy Lee didn't know he hooped tho you're right HInkley shoulda had a bigger gun a freakin 22 that dude was bluffin man. As for Kenny Anderson I remembe rhe was all over the NY papers back in the days one dudesaid he had a Pro handle at the high school level,I always thought he was born and raised in Lefrak yo from Lafayette Gardens projects(LG they gotta league too) you can see that big green Lefrak sign Queensbridge all of that it is beautiful I lived on the 16th floor I could see B'ville East NY all that I miss it son. Yeah Fang is still coaching Fang is a Jersey dude so he recruits Philly south Jersey cats and Bmore cats wont go there I live 3 mins from Coppin in West Bmore,he has done a tremendous job I aint mad at him. Alotta NY cats went to Coppin in the 70s I gotta ask my uncle he told me alotta stories he said if only they had video then some of the best ball ever was played back then, between Coppin, U of Bmore, Towson, Morgan & Loyola. No question my dude Sam was the best passer I ever saw my brother came up from Bmore to W4th to see the champ-ship game, Sam and Mario uptown team against Primetime yo he saw Sam throw two entrance(into the post) passes( all off the dribble) in which I dont know what kind of spin this dude put on the ball or how it got there but my brother looked at me and said yo he's a Pro son who is that? I started laughing I said remember Sam Worthen that's him. Yo Sam had God knows how many assists that game,Imma passer my self so I had no prob just watching that dude thread the needle and feed cats I would rather have 20 assists then 50 points any day(mean while Vernon Moore scored about 70 points in the paint),but yep Sam def is up there with Magic if not a lil better,I'd like to ask Magic what he thought about Sam. Yo I gotta run my dude it's an honor to be acknowledged by a guru like your self my mellow. Peace

deezel, Reffing in an around the way summer league game was mad dangerous in Queens during the 80's, Because of the threat of cats catching a few in the neck if the wrong call was made and mad money was on the games too, My man, Boo-Boo Vaughn got caught out there like that via reffing a game that maybe he should not have because of the atmosphere in the park(I was not there, Though I heard about what happened and i heard Boo Harvey was playing in the game

Too, My Man), deezel, Dwyane Martin looked nice in those MTV games during the 90's/LOL, I never seen Dwyane Martin play in a true game to tell if he's nice or not(Though, James Ryans told me he put Dwyane Martin down on his Prime-Time crew during the late 80's at West 4thst, So i guess that makes Dwyane Martin offical, My man/LOL, deezel, Did Ennis Whatley play in that McDonald's Allstar game in 1981, Because, Ennis Whatley was the best guard in HS in the country in 1981(Over Kenny Patterson and Carl Golston, 5'9 cat who played in the backcourt for Loyola of Chicago), Infact, Did Xavier McDaniel play in the McDonalds

Game in 1981 too, My man, Xavier McDaniel put in much work for Witchita State from 1981 to 1985, My man, Deezel, The HS class of 1981 was one of the best HS classes of all-time too me(Though, I feel the class of 1979 was the best with Isiah Thomas, James Worthy, Dominique Wilkens, Clark Kellogg(Ohio State), Red

Bruin(Syracuse), Sid Green(UNLV), Terry Cummings(DePaul), Teddy Grubbs(DePaul), Ralph Sampson(Virginia), Sam Bowie(Kentucky), Dirk Minnifield(Kentucky), Kenny Patterson(Depaul), Chris Mullin(St.John's), George Allen(Pittsburgh), Vern Moore(Creighton), Keith Lee(Memphis), Xavier McDaniel(Witchita State), Eddie Pickney(Villanova), Etc, deezel, The HS class of 1977 was mad tough too, My man(Too many cats to name right about now, My man/LOL), deezel, Was Reggie

Carter/Rip and Bernard Rencher on St.John's all-century crew, My man(Reggie Carter and Bernard Rencher we're the best backcourt in the country in 1979, Along with Reggie Carter and Bernard Rencher demo'ing Duke and Jim Spanarkel and Johnny Harrell in the 1979 regional-finals at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro,North Carolina, Then Penn beat North Carolina to make it to the final 4 against Michigan State(Though, Michigan State demo'ed Penn by 45, My

Man/LOL), deezel, Penn had Bobby Willis(Who used to play for James Madison HS in the Bronx during the early to mid 70's), And, Tony Price(Who played for Clinton during the early to mid 70's, Along with Tony Price being the pops of Aj Price, Who played in the backcourt for the University of Connecticut during the mid 2000's and presently Aj Price is down with the Indiana Pacers, My man, deezel, Michael Porter's from Virginia, My man(Though, Michael Porter played in the

backcourt with Boo Harvey at San Jacinto JC in Texas in 1985 and 1986, Then, Boo Harv and Mike Porter transferred to St.John's in 1986/87, Mike Porter played 1 year at St.John's then stepped(I never found out why money played 1 year, I assumed Mike Porter had academic problems, But, Mike Porter could get up mad high for a cat 5'11, My man/LOL, deezel, Fat Lever was a tough cat with his(Especially on the defensive side of the court, My man/LOL).
