The event wasnt like peeps were watching a PE and Billie meltdown. Thats something that I think is bad for the scene

I'll admit, it was entertaining (particularly the lead-up, heck fight promoters and pro wrestling bookers could learn something about building up a match from that mixoff). The fact we're still talking about it after all this time shows how memorable it is. But honestly, I just look at that battle as one house music event that really didn't add anything or take anything away from the larger house scene.

It probably just boils down to what one defines as "the scene."
