Dave, Please ignore my previous thread, My man(I was having a senior citizens moments in regards to my memory, My man/LOL), Dae, Austin Rivers did the right thing by not giving up the pill or calling time-out after Tyler Zeller missed that foul-shot in the closing seconds of the game, Because cats are not set defensively to defend the cat with the pill(Where as a crew calling time-out in that situation give the opposing crew an very good opportunity to set they're defense, My man),

Dave, Austin Rivers made a very tough shot(Over an 7-footer too/LOL), Though, Austin Rivers has mad Pressure on him via Austin Rivers coming behind Kyrie Irving last year and Austin Rivers being the number 1 HS cat in the country in 2010 too, My man, At this stage of Austin Rivers as a Freshman, i would have to state that Doc Rivers was much better than Austin Rivers, My man(Cats do not realize tha Doc Rivers was a top 5 HS All-American in 1980 at Proviso East HS in the suburban Chicago area, Along with the work Doc Rivers put in at Marquette from 1980-1983 too(Doc Rivers came out of Marquette after his Junior year in 1983, My man).

Austin has come along nicely - earlier in the season, he had problems finishing around the rim (and just looked like a ball hog) ... of late, he's either finishing or getting fouled - and it's obvious now, that the offense pretty much runs through him while he's on the court

The buzzer beater was nice last night, but not as impressive as the comeback (or maybe we can call it the giveaway from UNC) ... either way, win or lose, that game would have been great in the end

NCAA turns down UConn waiver

"STORRS, Conn. -- The NCAA on Friday turned down the University of Connecticut's request for a waiver that would allow its men's basketball team to play in the 2013 national championship tournament.
UConn doesn't qualify for the tournament because of below-standard academic results, but it requested a waiver last month.

The school proposed alternate penalties, including playing a shorter schedule next season, forfeiting the revenue awarded to the Big East for participating in the 2013 tournament, and barring coach Jim Calhoun from meeting off-campus with prospective recruits during the fall 2012 contact period."

Lamar's Pat Knight echoes dad in rant

BEAUMONT, Texas -- Lamar coach Pat Knight is ripping his players in a way that might remind some of his father.

Knight said his team had the "worst group of seniors" he's ever had after the Cardinals lost 62-52 on Wednesday night to Stephen F. Austin. He called the seniors' attitude "awful" and accused them of "stealing money by being on scholarship."

Knight says without a change, "there's no way we'll win another game."

Knight is in his first year at Lamar, a Southland Conference team, after being let go by Texas Tech. The Cardinals are 17-11 with three league games remaining.

Knight is the son of legendary Indiana and Texas Tech coach Bob Knight, a current ESPN analyst who was famous for his temper during his coaching career.
