The Big East is set to add Boise State, San Diego State, SMU, UCF and Houston as it begins to rebuild its league, with an announcement expected as early as Wednesday, sources confirmed to ESPN.com.

Boise State and San Diego State of the Mountain West will enter the league as football-only members, while Houston, SMU and UCF, all of Conference USA, will join the Big East for all sports, sources told ESPN.com.

I only saw the 2nd half (was at a work dinner, so during the chatter, I only could watch out of one eye, from a distance ), but we pulled away in the 2nd half - was only a 2pt lead at the half

One thing is for sure, getting Boatright back after his suspension has made us a complete team ... maybe still not 10th as ranked, but certainly better than the team that lost in the Bahamas

Syracuse installed at top in coaches poll

Jim Boeheim and the Syracuse Orange have emerged from a pack of previously unbeatens and a season of unprecedented controversy to become the No. 1 team in the country.

Syracuse gained a near-unanimous vote at the top of the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll released Monday.

Ohio State remained at No. 2 in the Week 6 rankings despite falling 78-67 to Kansas, which advanced one notch to 12th.

Kentucky, which also suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday, dropped to third after holding the top spot for two weeks.

Undefeated Louisville and Duke (9-1) remained No. 4 and No. 5.

North Carolina, Baylor, Missouri Xavier and Connecticut completed the top 10.

Syracuse drew 28 of the 30 first-place votes, having withstood a scandal that saw its longtime assistant coach Bernie Fine accused by three men of sexually abusing them when they were boys.

Fine has since been fired by the school amid a federal investigation into the accusations.

The Buckeyes drew the other two votes for the top spot, despite the loss.

Prosecutor reviewing Cincy-Xavier fight

CINCINNATI -- An Ohio prosecutor said Monday he will consider criminal charges in the aftermath of a brawl at the end of the Cincinnati-Xavier basketball game.

Hamilton County prosecutor Joe Deters said in a statement that his office would determine if criminal charges were appropriate. He declined further comment.
