smh... i can't see where one type has to exclude the other...they both exist..... if you go to a party featuring deep house and its all sex and drugs, so be it... stay or go home... if it's all 'pretty shit', stay or go home... i've left many a party i wasn't feelin.... my choice, not hating.... promoters, people, parties can't all be the same.... just creatives forces at work....
i just have problems with sex selling determining/identifying success...or good times...or having fun...
sex is not 'missing' from the deephouse scene... it just has a different place... by choice of patrons or attendees...
and there are plenty of other house genres and parties that support the gratuitous and blatant....
personally, i appreciate a brief escape from the constant competition of sex...
to me that's what 'deep' means and brings to the genre...to release, feel good and dance...
peacenhugs!
much peace.............c
At the raves, warehouse parties of UK, 80's LSD, MDMA, Speed.
Coke wasn't big at these venues, neither was alcohol, as usually you couldn't but it. Neither was acting like a cunty celebrity.
When it went to sexy glamorous dressy V.I.Prat Ibiza arms in the air false clubs of the 90's, coke and pills (not mdma) and alcohol.
Things change, one thing remains constant, some people don't get high, and manage to have a good time

true, true...
is it me or is the deep crowd a little older, a little more savvy and experienced and therefore are less apt to get out of control...with enhancements or sex...
don't get me wrong tho, i love a 'wild' time when i'm out and about and in the mood
but my the definition of 'wild' has tempered with time and experience...
...also, i find interesting .....evidence clubs now making 'youngsters' prepay and present tickets at the door...they just can't attend on a whim...
hmmmm, not a bad way to control your crowds i guess....
much peace.............c
