Next week is mid-semester break at the school I work at and a big priority for me is to reevaluate my job search strategy. If something is not working it is time to change it to something that works. That's what I am aiming to do.
    Martino's criteria for mixes:

i like this thread - and like the fact the author put it out there and how it's titled.

every time i see it pop up i'm moved in some way or another.

some things i'd like to conquer or make headway on this year -

    1) i did tons of volunteer shit to get my current job, and/or had a life more conducive to volunteering, but since i started at my office in october 2007 barely volunteer anymore beyond a couple one offs.. BIG goal this year, make a commitment to some sort of ongoing and significant effort. it's hard because i'm limited/not allowed to do certain things because of my work, so thinking homeless related work (though interested in working specifically with teens in addition or byond food bank based work) and even that will take a legal written permission slip - boo); or working with developmentally challenged people - at least offering my help in special olympics - i love sports and i love people doing them, seems like a great fit

    2) i've been such a lazy shit, and excess wine drinker for way too long. i need to bite the bullet and RElose the 10 lbs i keep regainign every winter in my wine runs..... grrr. i'm never good at restraint or balance

    3) save more spend less - ha. even as i write this i laugh but if i put it to pen it's a step.

    ---

why not write these things now in march 2012 rather than december? goals!

    Unhappy

    2011
personally - tried to get laid with as many willing (unpaid/drugged) females as possible
professionally - tried to get laid with my boss's wife
educationally - tried to learn new pick up techniques from this pick up artist blogger but it didnt work out so well
musically - tried to enjoy some Katy Perry songs so I can bond with the college girls that walk past my job but couldnt muster the TGIF song enough to get me to start a convo with those freshman sluts

    2012 looks awesum for me

dont want to jinx myself before the contract is signed, but shook hands to become summer artistic director at the outdoor venue. opens may 1st, roughly 120 nights of programming. they know i have no experience promoting and that my previous expertise lies in the technical domain, but trust my instincts, and there will of course be support staff. No doubt this will be quite a challenge, but this will be an excellent way to build up a community to move indoors once the weather gets cold again. heres to hoping for friendly weather!

    CONGRATULATIONS!

Isn't focus a wonderful thing? You wrote out a plan and just look what enters your life

    Here's to great weather!
As for the charges against me, I am unconcerned. I am beyond their timid lying morality, and so I am beyond caring.

    ==========================

What did you accomplish in 2011? - personally, professionally, educationally, musically, etc.

What were the goals and milestones that you laid out (or simply envisioned) on 12/31/10, and through the year? - and what actions did you execute, in order to achieve them (even if you failed)

What do you plan to do/approach differently in 2012 ... given what you've learned this year
