Twilo Tribute: New York House & Garage mix 1993-1995 releases.

Put together a Twilo Tribute mix of underground New York House and Garage music from 1993-1995, influenced by and featuring tracks, dubs, acapellas, white labels & live re-edit´s from artists and labels such as Danny Tenaglia, Masters at Work, MK, Nervous, Todd Terry, Tribal US, Junior Vasquez, Junior Boys Own, Martha Wash Deep Dish, LA India, Strictly Rhythm, DJ Disciple, Murk and Mood II Swing.

This comprises lesser known classics and alternative mixes/dubs from my record collection. All but one of the tracks were released between 1993-1995 one of my favorite periods and the period i started buying and mixing vinyl, a couple of the tracks have been slightly warped over the years but nothing too severe.

good mix. happy with some of what was played but i wasnt there so to someone who experienced the club might enjoy the flashback. definately could have been more vocal, i only went 3/4 of the way. 3 beers..

To be fair i havent been there either, i was a 14 yr old growing up in london at the time so pretty much impossible for me to go there but i listened to alot of producers and dj's that played there from Junior Vasquez to Little louie Vega etc and they formed my musical style as i grew up spending what little money i earned on these incredible releases on incredible labels.

The vocal aspect is subjective, i do love the vocal tracks but my DJ style i prefer the dubs as they are generally more aimed to rock the dance floor & i do like & use a splattering of vocals as i belive less is more but thats my opinion and everyone is entitled to theirs & i'm happy to hear them.
