    Anything Blaze (no explanation necessary)

Anything Kenny Garrett (becoming one of the great alto saxmen of alltime!!!!)

Back in the day, it was anything from Philly International, Chic and Quincy Jones (Up to 1983). You didn't question whether it was good. You just bought it, and it turned out to be classic. Peace.

There is nothing i would buy without question. if i like it i will buy it, it has nothing to do with a lable or artists reputation. I dont feed into that, it helps them to produce sub standard music, you better bring it everytime or you wont get my money.

there you go, if blind shopping has thought me ANYTHING, it would be that any artist is capable of outstandingly boring crap... (maybe not d'angelo)(and certainly not the pixies )

fuik buying anything without question.if i'm paying £15 for a record (house)im fuikin sure i will be listening, disecting and questioning it before i buy it!!

Ive not got a big enough bedroom or bank balance to be buying stuff and stacking it up on the belief that it will be good!!

    DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE!!

its lucky we are househeads because its possible to do listen to the stuff before we buy.in other genres of music it is accecpted that you buy an album then listen.I say "go eat shiet, i aint buying stuff ive not heard on the whim that sonmeone tells me its good!!

    Unless its the Beatles!! :D

Agreed!! Especially in the House genre! I gotta listen before I buy.

As far as other music categories, over the years, there were albums I would buy without having to hear first. For example, back in the day: Earth, Wind & Fire and Stevie Wonder. More recently: Incognito, Seal, Jamiroquai, Brand New Heavies, Paula Cole, Cyrus Chestnut, Wynton Marsalis and other folks I considered "consistent"... Eventually, I discovered that even the best artists can run dry creatively. So now, 95% of the time, I need to hear at least a little sample before I lay out the simoleons!

Nice list! I have to agree with all those, but I still won't buy until I hear it first.

The only musician I trust like that (100%) is Glenn Underground.

In recent memory, without listening first, I purchased the Blaze album, that last Kerri Chandler Album, and Jovann's album like that (although on the Blaze and Jovann albums, I had already heard 1 or 2 songs that I knew were on them). I usually hear Kenny Bobien's songs ahead of time but I would purchase any album of his without listening first.

We've got the same taste in underground music nodoubt. The only thing is I still would feel more comfotable ,if I did listen to the records first , especially with the record prices these days. sh*************t.
