The DL Chronicles RETURNS

I've debated as to whether I should put this on here or not. I decided to go ahead since we are all mature adults and we realize that the world is full of all types of people; Black, White, Spanish, Asian, Straight , Bi-sexual, Gay, Househeads, HipHop folk, etc.

With that said, here's info about a TV/Cable series that needs funding to continue. It's called "The DL Chronicles" and it deals with the "DL" (Down Low) lifestyle. It's an informative and well done look into that world. They've had a successful 1rst season and they are trying to raise money for the second season. Check out the links and if you would like to contibrute, please do so and pass the word on to anyone that you think might be interested in helping. (please be advised that there are men kissing in 1 or 2 clips. It's kept to a minimum for the faint of heart).

I feel that it's a story that needs to be told so that we all can learn about each other and work towards understanding different lifestyles (even if some may not agree with them).

Once we start learning about each other and communicating with each other, we can begin to start helping to stamp out prejudices, violence, diseases, fobias & hatreds.

I believe $20K more is needed by Jan 30. If everyone can spare a $5 or $10 donation, This would be accomplished in no time. Please give to these very talented filmmakers. They are telling a story that needs to be told and not everyone is willing to tell it this raw and honest. If we work to understand or even tolerate each others differences now, we may be able to make this world safer and more accepting for the generations to come.

So far, they've raised $13,004. thanks to the good & generous brothas and sistas of the world. They are hoping to make their $30K goal by January 30. I'm hoping that clubs and folks doing other get-to gethers & functions will help raise funds to donate to this important project.

I'm hoping for a day when the love and togetherness that is shown on the dance floor will also be shown in all the other areas of our lives.

Kudos for posting this. But the active members on this board are primarily straight men, and I wouldn't expect much support from the majority of them. Which to me has always been ironic considering the origins of House Music, but that's a whole nother can of worms...

It's sad to see that not much has changed over the years. Alot of people are still
too afraid (phobia) or angry or indifferent to deal with this issue. This should be very important to EVERYONE, since the DL folks (Men & Women) are sleeping with straight people as well as gays.
