One thing Mike he averaged almost 6 rebounds at 6'5" and about 3 assists so it wasn't that maybe making the EXTRA pass at times was a problem

Antoni is horrible at distributing minutes

No team drafted Lin in 2010. Two teams cut him in December, before the Knicks picked him up. His contract, potentially worth nearly $800,000, was not even guaranteed until Tuesday afternoon. So for the past six weeks, Lin, 23, has been sleeping in his brother Josh's living room, waiting for clarity and career security. "He has his own couch," Josh Lin, a New York University dental student, said cheerfully.
They interviewed him on MSG last night. He stayed with Landry Fields at first but is now crashing with his brother. His contract wasn't guaranteed until early this week and he didnt know if he was going to get a long term deal. Its actually a pretty funny story, Perseverance pays off!

Chuck, We both know that statistics are very deceiving in regards to a cats production on the court, My man(Chuck, I don't remember Adrian Dantly getting 6 rebounds a game since Adrian Dantley's junior year at Notre Dame in 1976, My man/LOL), Chuck, Do you feel Detroit would have won an NBA championship with Adrian Dantley, My man, Though, Detroit was very close to winning the Eastern Conference finals against

Boston in 1988, Until Adrian Dantley and Vinnie Johnson bumped heads in the 4th quarter, Whcih resulted in Adrian Dantley being taken to the hospital and not being able to finish the game, Which Detroit lost to Boston in 1988, My man), Chuck, I can look up Dominique Wilkens statistics and i'm very sure i will find that Dominique Wilkens averaged 3 assists too, But, We all know Dominique Wilkens was not hoppin it to

Nobody but the rim(Money used to go mad nut with his, My man/LOL), Chuck, Cats like Adrian Dantley, Especially, Dominque Wilkens, Alex English, Etc, Are all down on my Jerry Butler crew, Which means the utmost of nuts(Like the plate, 'Never gonna give you up', By Jerry Butler in 1973, My man/LOL), Fletch, Boston was counting on Lenny Bias and Bill Walton to provide the support off the bench for Boston during the

Mid 80's to early 90's, But, We all know what happened with that, On the low, Boston begged Bernard King to sign with Boston in 1987(After Bernard King came back from knee surgery from 1985), Red Auerbach wanted Bernard King to come off the bench and just score(Don't even try to play D,Just score/LOL), But, Bernard King wanted to show cats that he was still an all-Star calibar player(Which he most definitely did

With the Washington Bullets during the mid/late 80's/early 90's), Along with Bernard King remembering how much shit Larry Bird was poppin to him during the eastern conference finals in 1984, Which Bernard King gave Boston and Larry Bird 40 a night over a 7 game series which was won by Boston, So, Bernard King signed wit the Washington Bullets in 1987, Instead of having a legimate chance to win an NBA title with Boston, Which they did in 1987(I wonder if Nard regretted that move by not signing with Boston in 1987).

You mention 3 people who played the 3 how many assists do you expect out of that position especially from your #1 offensive option? Just asking

Still, will be interesting to see how much Lin gets to the hole with Bynum and Gasol in there. Bynum in particular is very nasty to penetrating guards.

Chuck, Your the cat who came out with the statistics on cats, I stepped to you about that with a question that you have so far copped a plea on responding too(Do you feel Detroit would have won a championship with Adrian Dantley), Along with throwing 3 cats who we're supreme nuts as an example of cats who could have possibly had the assists average that you stated that Adrian Dantley had during his tenure in the NBA, Now you're stating that the 3 cats that i named(Adrian

Dantley, Dominique Wilkens, Alex English), Had a very hard time coming up with the 3 assists average that you stated that adrian Dantley had during the NBA career, My man/LOL, Chuck, I expect a cat to hop it when cats are open, No matter what position a cat is playing, My man, That's why i state that statistics are weak when assessing a cats production on the court(Exhibit A:A cat can get 10 assists playing in the backcourt, Via playing 40 plus minutes, Yet, When you watch

That same cat play live, You will see mad bad decisions through-out the game by a cat, That do not stand-out to the average cat watching(Exhibit B, Cats not having any knowledge on feeding a cat posting up, And the cat feeding the cat posting up, Clearing out that side of the court, So the cat posting up can see where the double-teams are coming from, My man, Chuck, We both know that the game of Basketball is a game of angles and timing(Especially for point guards in regards

To decision making abilities, But, Also for everybody on the court too, So a cat playing the small forward spot is required to score on most NBA crews, Though, A small forwad has to have the ability to think the game out too(Exhibit B:Walter Davis, Marques Johnson, James Worthy, Bernard King, Scotti Pippen, Mark Aguire, Clark Kellogg, Julius Erving, Chuck Person, Lebron James, Larry Bird, Detlef Schramf, Johnny Johnson, Rick Barry, Bobby Dsndridge, Jammal Wilkes, Etc, We're all

Thinking before the play starts types of cats(It may not have looked like it to the natural eye though, But, To appreciate the game of basketball, One has to see things that others don't, My man/LOL), Chuck, What i find amazing is Jeremy Lin has the utmost of respect from every cat on the Knicks(Which shows me that Money has been puttin in work in practice way before this opportunity came up this week), My man, Marshall, My man Pete Edwards(Founder of the IS8 High-school

Classic in Jamaica,Queens in 1986, Which is one of the top High-school tournaments in the country, Used to play the plate, 'Never gonna give you up', By Jerry Butler at his HS tournament games during the 90's(Pete Edwards used to rock the mic doing the play by play of all the games at IS8 and whenever a cat was going nut(Taking mad shots), Pete would play a tape with the plate, 'Never gonna give you up', By Jerry Butler on it and cats who we're old enough to remember the plate

Would be on the floor laughing at the cat/cats who we're going nut, While the younger cats did not understand why older cats we're laughing at cats who we're going nut, Along with younger cats not understanding why Pete Edwards was playing the plate, 'Never gonna give you up', By Jerry Butler, My man/LOL.

First off i ain't copping a plea on the question I honestly can't answer that with anything but a maybe which we both know ain't holding weight. I honestly don't remember what the line- ups were like then to make that call.
Secondly, I didn't state anyone had a hard time (where did you get that LOL) I said how many assists did you expect from a #1 offensive option? Because those three cats were that. Nique probably got closest to a ring without giving up the rock out of the three so your theory holds water but remember all three played mostly on bad teams and that may have created bad habits. In Dantley's case dude was almost always in the paint and was going to the hole with it and he lived on the line.
In that batch of small forwards you listed only half had rings which kinda negates that argument LOL. I agree with you on HOW the game should be played tho.

Detroit had the exact same lineup that they won the championships with, only Mark Aguirre replaced Dantley. Mark made a huge sacrifice to his game with the Pistons because not only did he pass the ball more, but he came off the bench too.

But it was a good trade for the Pistons because in the playoffs when Dantley had the ball the offense just totally stopped moving.

Chuck, A maybe would have answered the question in your prior therad, My man/LOL, Chuck, I equated your prior response(How many assists did you expect from a #1 offensive option), The wrong way(Senior citizen moment, My man/LOL), Chuck, Adrian Dantley was the closest cat out of the 3(Adrian Dantley, Dominique Wilkens and Alex Engish), To get to the NBA finals in 1988(Though, Adrian Dantley was hurt in the 4th quarter of the 7th game in the erastern Finals vs Boston),

My man, Chuck, Adrian Dantley made the Detroit Pistons mad easy to check as a crew, Via Adrian Dantley monopolizing the pill with his, My man, While Mark Aguirre's vast knowledge of the game made Detriot mad hard to check, Because Money hopped it(Passed the pill), That's why Joe Dumars won the MVP award in the finals against the Lakers in 1989(Though, Magic and Byron Scott was hurt during the series, I still feel that Detroit would have won anyway, My man), Chuck, The Lakers had to worry about Isiah Thomas, Vinnie Johnson and Mark Aguirre, 3 cats would could give you 30 at the drop of a dime, Without ruining Detroit's offense, Which resulted in Joe Dumars coming off because of the vast attention that the Lakers had to give to Isiah Thomas, Vinnie Johnson and Mark Aguirre(Who played the decoy role in both championship series in 1989 and 1990 against Portland), My man.

I know that I started this thread, about "The Lin Dynasty is here!". But I do have a concern about the ability of NBA defenses to adjust to adjust to point guards! Remember the Tyus Edney hype, outta UCLA? NBA cats back then exploited Edney's weaknesses and before one knew it, Edney was out of the league!

Or how about Matt Maloney, out of Penn? Rockets teammate Charles Barkley was woofin' it up regarding his rookie point guard. Then one day, John Stockton stuck his elbow in Matt Maloney's forehead. Shortly thereafter, Matt Maloney was out the NBA door, too!

And someone brought up Robert Horry running Steve Nash into the scorer's table, when the Suns were up 2 games to 1! Nash got up, but he never got anywhere near an NBA Finals!

Fletch, Tyus Edney was not that nice, Along with Money being mad small(5'9, Which is not a very good combination to have going into the NBA during the late 90's, When the NBa was still knid of tough, My man/LOL), Fletch, Stephoan Marbury demo'd Matt Maloney so hard during the 1997 first-round playoff series featuring Minnesota vs Houston, Matt maloney was out of the leauge after the season was over for Houston in 1997, My man(Stephon averaged about 25 a night

In the series vs Houston with Matt Maloney checking him too, My man/LOL), Fletch, Phoenix was in a very good position to win the Western Confercne finals against San Antiono in 2005(If i remember Correctly), If robert Horry would not have done that nonsense(Because Robert horry most definitely knew Phoenix was going to win that series too, That's why Robert Horry resulted into doing that nonsense, Just to hurt Steve Nash and start a fight during the same incident too,

My man, Fletch, Honestly build with me on the first time you saw Mark Jackon play for the Knicks, You envisoned Mark Jackson to become the number 3 all-time assists leader in the NBA and rookie of the year in 1988, Along with Mark Jackson being in the NBA for 18 years, My man/LOL, Fletch, You have some, 'I dream of Jeanie', Skills if you saw Mark Jackson being that successful coming out of St.John's in 1987, My man/LOL

That's funny because I thought that jason Kidd was like another Mark Jackson when he 1st came in the league, only he had better defense. I don't think Jeremy Lin is going to last 18 years in the league, but I think he can give the Knicks a good 10. And good luck even keeping him another year when contract time comes up because Stat, Melo, and Tyson are damn near at the cap just by themselves.

The only difference between Dantley and Aguirre was that Aguirre did make the sacrifice but before he got to Detroit Mark was a nut too if I remember LOL as far as Joe D he was the goods and for about 5 years of his career uncheckable by any guard 1 on 1
Question? How did Detroit get to game 7 of the conference finals with Dantley? And didn't Nique and the hawks also get to a game 7 conference final or am I bugging? Just checked ...not bugging the lost by TWO POINTS so Nique was closer my man LOL
