I've talked to many dance music legends and know many broke ass famous people....who kept it real....When you hear about a cat who's records you play, having to go to the damn county hospital for heathcare...makes shit very real.

Where's the damn money???That's what I want to know....and I know why there's none on this scene....focus on the wrong shit.
That's as real as it gets!

WMC wasn't "relevant". Remember? Now that cats who built that other scene up are getting light, mofoes are talking that "they stole our music" stuff again
    oh the irony

As per all things on this scene, most cats don't believe in themselves enough to put their money where their mouths are. Then again, the futures market in bullshit never did produce much of a payoff

    Oh yes he did!

Last subject of the story is about Biz Mark

I had to work for mine to put your body in park
When I was a teenager, I wanted to be down
With a lot of M.C. deejayin' crews in town
So in school on Nobel Street, I say "Can I be down, champ"

They said no and treated me like a wet food stamp
After gettin' rejected, I was very depressed
Sat and wrote some def doo-doo rhymes at my rest
When I used to come to parties they'd make me pay

I'd have to beg to get on the mike and rap that day
I was never into girls, I was just into my music
They acted like I wanted to keep it
Instead of tryin' to use it

But now things switched without belief
"Yo, Biz, do you remember me from Nober Street, chief?
We used to be down back in the days"
It happens all the time and never ceases to amaze

Man, I just started looking into this. Have you been? If so, what's it like?

I've been looking around on their website. I am still a little confused about what is totally going on there. I saw a story on cnn about how many tech companies, or just folks with business ideas go there to pitch them. Then I see music and art is involved too. Would like to go there but need some clarity. Looks like a lot of cool stuff going on down there.
