FREE entry 'til 12:30 on Arana's list: RSVP to www.tinyurl.com/sorted4-2012
On April 13, I'm thrilled to present Sorted's new launch on the stunning main floor of Santos Party House in Tribeca/NYC. With a unique layout and a dazzling TimbreTech sound system and lighting, we'll explore the deep, dark, sexy side of underground house, techno, minimal & bass music ~ always pushing into forward musical terrain while still keeping the party bouncin'.
I'll be joined in the booth by Sorted co-resident Matias Jofre, Criminal Sound (AJ Clay, Steve Garriques and Mark i.e. Cobián), Luca Basch, Derek Rusniak, Nick Castoro and a special birthday throw-down from Maloku. With support from our good friends at Momentum and House Assassins.

Arana
Founder and resident DJ of the Wobble parties at Cielo (third Friday of every month) and his monthly Sorted parties at Santos, ARANA has quickly built a reputation as one of New York City's most dynamic and versatile DJs by weaving together energetic, tightly-executed sets of underground dance music and moving dance floors with bending basslines, intricate layers and an uncompromising focus on musicality beyond the simple boom-boom.

Matias Jofre
An Argintinean native, Matias Jofre finds inspiration through worldwide club culture and a vibrant following that has led to his weekly Rite of Wednesdays at Bar 13 along with the Momentum/Techno Happy Hour crew. Experimenting with sound design, mixing and producing, Matias is not one to sit still, rapidly growing and taking on different approaches to sound. Melody plays a significant role in his work, often providing darkness to his music but with an uplifting cathartic side that generates a positive vibe to the dance floor.
Criminal Sound
Stemming from a wide variety of musical backgrounds and eclectic tastes, the three residents of Criminal Sound recently joined forces after discovering their incredible similarities and preferences in electronic music. When it comes to DJ'ing, Steve, Mark, and AJ all believe in one thing: the programming of a night. Pulling from each of their own individual styles, the Criminal Sound name has already started to represent a distinctive sound that builds and progresses as the night carries on. Keep your ears to the speakers as this trio continues to lay down silky-smooth sets at venues throughout the city.
Maloku & Nick Castoro
Maloku and Nick Castoro both hail from New York City, and have been involved both as contributors and partygoers in the underground dance music scene for over a decade. Being DJ’s at heart they appreciate the art of building a set and see that this is a dying art which they strive to revitalize. Delving into the production realm this duo has a great studio dynamic due to the immense engineering skill possessed by Maloku, allowing them to improvise and create without being held back due to technical ability. They try to create a polished, refined sound with inflections of techno, deep house and and tech house influence assuring their tunes are always geared for the dance floor. http://facebook.com/beyondmusicny
Derek Rusniak
Growing up in Staten Island and consumed by music from an early age, Derek Rusinak has taken his deep, driving, melodic sets to the other side of the Hudson over the past 2 years, earning himself a following in his home New York City. From being featured at some of NYC's top venues and events to being co-founder to his own brand of underground party, he has made his presence known in the NYC scene. What's in store for this local talent? A slew of appearances at New York's best underground hotspots to start and his first release coming in 2012.
Luca Basch
A youth in New York's electronic music underground, Luca Basch's music is reminiscent of a classic New York Deep House style infused with Tech and Latin percussion. His sets pound the dance floor while still managing to stay true to the feeling of timeless House music.
