    Nice! Bought some beer yesterday. Didn't pick up the new Guinness Black, which I've been meaning to do... Instead, got some local stuff. Next time.

    Martin, I was pleasantly surprised by the Courage Russian Imperial Stout (a Wells & Young product now) pictured below. I've had 3 bottles so far and only two left. It's been known to age gracefully, even as old as 20 years, though I doubt I'll have the patience to go beyond one or two.

    10% ABV actually. 9.3 would be in references to the volume in US ounces. Yes, quite a strong beer but it's hardly noticeable when drinking it. If you find some, I'd be curious to know how much it costs there. It's around $6-$7 here.

    oh snap! i don't have a picture of my 2008 kate the great on the computer. bottle 6/450.

    i've had bt once. it reminded me alot of dark lord, a sweet syrupy mess. sometimes i think these over the top stouts are a bit much.
