NY Knicks in the playoffs (again)

Contrary to the experts(lol) in section 205, the NY Knicks, led by Carmelo Anthony, have made the playoffs for the second year in a row.

As the 7th seed they have to go up against a tough Miami Heat team

    Knicks in 7

Knicks doing as well as can being expected for a team playing 5 on 7

    for real

    The refs should be embarrassed

They aren't embarrassed..this is NBA business as usual...That's Ed Malloy, the same ref that ejected Paul Pierce during a crucial point in the Celtics/Heat series last year.

James Jones' action not tech worthy..

I would like to see a 7-game series, and even see the Knicks win ... however Refs Smefsh ... refs make bad calls both ways, all the time

... one thing is consistent in college and pro ball - fans w/ teams that haven't won in decades, when behind, whip out that word 'refs'

... it's never "We can't put the ball in the hoop" or "Damn, why is one of our BEST players w/ 3 fouls in the 1st half, 'launching' a screen (more like a linebacker) at 1/2 court?" or "Why do we keep barreling down the lane, getting charges"?

    fo' real - ain't never hear about refs w/ a W

Great points Dave. They could not put it in the basket. AND The refs did also call a shitty lopsided game.

Was a close game for the first 12 but then the Knicks got shook. When the refs are calling the game like that a player and a team can lose the intensity in their defense. On to game 2

often fair-weather fans say "the" or "they" when the team loses ... when they win, it's "We" and "Us"

... Knicks got shook b/c they (including Melo) couldn't find the hoop, lost focus and made mostly silly fouls

... BTW, they were down 6pts at the end of 1Q ... projecting that x4, ain't exactly close either

Yeah because we all know no one has ever overcome a 6 pt deficit after the first quarter. As for the we/they thing I can say I got shook but if someone asks me what happened I say "we lost" so in regards to your love seat psychological observations here's an idea .........STFU

see that didn't hurt a bit.

... hopefully the Knicks will rally, and make a good series of it ... but, as a general NBA viewer, imho, the Heat in the finals (and winning it all) will be best for the league ... b/c as Don King (Only In America movie) once said (about boxing) 'You need heros and villains, otherwise, it's just 2 bums beating each other up in the ring' ... same goes for most sports (e.g. Duke in the NCAAs, Yankees in baseball, etc.)

    What tells the story

Tyson Chandlers pick was originally called a flagrant 2

Knicks shot poorly but the game was still in question (as was noted by announcers). However, after all of the Knick players were in foul trouble, they couldn't defend the paint. Knicks weren't shook they were handcuffed. Additionally the referees did a shit job. I'm sure the team will be complaining to the league about the travesty which this was (Flagrant two on a pick. really?)

So the refs caused the Knicks to lose by 33? Close game otherwise.......JMJ

Knicks gave up 38 points on turnovers. They shot like shit as well

However, the refs also sent Miami to the line 33 times vs 11 for the Knicks. Game over. Knicks were bad and so was the officiating

My only solace: if Miami thinks they're going to flop their way to the championship, they've already lost it

Can't see the Knicks winning a single game with Shumpert out, Heat have an easy road to the finals with D-Rose and Dwight out.

bulls have shown they can win without rose, they defend at 5 positions and they are deep, they should be fine

hahaha. The refs were atrocious and completely one sided. The Knicks played horrible and still would have lost had the refs favored them like they favored The Heat. If the refs just played it straight and not been the 6th man on the Heat, The Knicks would have lost by like 12, not 30. I like what Kool Keith tweeted after the game, "I don't give a fuck, Knicks all the way". That's the spirit. Shumpert is a tough loss. Rose is a horrible loss. Now I'm hoping Oklahoma gets it's done. Can't believe I'm saying this but I think I might hate the Heat more than the Lakers. What a bunch of bitches.

Can't see US winning with no Shump. Bibby backing up Too Easy is not ab encouraging prospect and Lin already has been pronounced out for the series. Chalmers being a defensive beast seals it.
