Fucked up thing is, Schweinsteiger has controlled every game so far and doesnt get points because he doesnt score goals. He is many peoples player of the tournament so far. Totally outstanding. McDonalds fantasy need to flip their scoring system.

Most impressive about the German side is the depth. Up to now every position seems covered by an equally good bench player. Also, Schweinsteiger has had a mediocre tournament so far. The most impressive players in my view are Hummels and Badstuber in central defence, and Khedira, who is keeping this effort together. And of course the development players like Bender, Reus and Schürle, who are really spicing up the game.

Fuck dah dumb shit... No one is beating that German team. I've seen all of the teams play, and so far only the Germans are stepping it up a notch when needed.

Schweinsteiger is nowhere near the class that he was at in South Africa. He's had a bad season, he's been in and out with injuries, last night's first half was full of errors and visible lack of form. And Khedira cleaning up after him. Last night that guy booked his slot in the tournament all-star eleven.

Yeah, New Jersey. Have you actually watched throughout this tournament? I mean, I'm the guy who sticking needles into my German voodoo doll every night, praying they get kicked out (personal political anti-patriotic reasons), and I have to admit they are unfortunately quite good. The final is a possibility.

Fair enough, we all see the game in a different way. Im not sure about his form all season, but in this tournament I have been seriously impressed with him. The pundits over here have been going crazy about him, especially Patrick Vieira, which speaks volumes.

    Read German pundits. Different assessments.

As it should have been. Pure domination. As I've always said, 95% of the time the winner of the penalties is the team with the momentum/deserved to win. Including Liverpool over Milan that one time :(

While I'd say it is commendable that England got this far (i.e. a hearty "not bad".), what they play has too little to do with how the modern game is played. The attack begins at the defense, the defense begins at the attack, midfield is increasingly uncontested. England does not have the modern style defensive midfield players and strikers to organise that kind of game.

nah, to be honest the quarter finalists are about the same level, except one, Germany.

Germany will batter Italy and then batter Spain IMHO
