Nah man, no need for mixed feelings, especially not in any way related to me. Regardless of my confronting my obvious irrelevance to the scene at this stage of the game, I can't think of a better group of people to do this party than EXACTLY who is on the flyer.

Kostas held Red down with his own unique style and literally defined the earlier slot via his music. Beyond that, he was a genuinely honest, good guy.
Kev was a loooooooong time friend of Red and another great guy & great DJ. The association between the YO! camp and Red can't be understated.
Tom was another one who put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into defining Red during his residencies, particularly with the crowd that immediately followed our crowd age-wise.
Sam... I mean... that dude put on half of DC's DJ scene at one point or another and his Sunday party is seminal
You... well, you were aight... i mean, you played there for a long time and stuff so you gotta get put on....

In all seriousness, my original comments were in no way intended to question the folks on the line-up, it was simply & honestly recognizing that for a fleeting moment, I missed being a relevent DJ.

Like I said, if I can get away, I'll be there enjoying myself on the floor like the old days.

    Peace

yep yep ... and not just DC, but right across the river in Arlington too (nice hotels on the Metro line, where you can get in/out of DC, and to/from locations in DC just as fast, as if you were staying in DC)

You also are a first class dick, a rude person and someone obsessed with being right. You are obviously well educated, successful in your field, but you have very little taste and almost no class or concept of how humans interact beyond being the loudest voice in the room.

ps, please keep whatever I write for the archives, because you are the only one who cares.

You obsession is amusing. As for the Freudian analysis, I will print it up for my wall. You are delusional Dave if you think for a second that you pushing people forward with your singular focus on showing the broad how great you are and your form of success, whether it's achieved by you or in your fantassies of 'successful' DJs is helping anyone on DHP move forward. Besides your small cheering section, I would guess many of the board find you to be a gas-bag but are too afraid to say anything, because you have the time and gunpowder to focus on bullying the for a few weeks.

Sorry if I don't spend time mentoring bedroom DJs to become the no. 1 DJ in Lile, but that is not my area of expertise. I have though given plenty of people on this board my counsel on geting an MBA, working overseas, and helped one memeber get a job interview at a fomrer company of mne. The difference is that i don't brag about it non-stop. And I take a back-seat to no one in my support of DHP artists, and others whom i respect. My promotion of their work and paid-attendance at their events is what a choose to do for something that is my musical interest, not my career.

Back to my original point, taste matters, at least to me. Whether it is Budweiser or Sweedish House Mafia, I will never support of encourage those who constantly seek the lowest commom denominator in life, art of their profession. The club that replaced Red was what I considered the epitomy of bad taste and i glad the 'market' killed it. It is just a shame they took out Red in the process.

... futher proof (not that anyone needed any here on the page, b/c your transgressions have been well documented by you!) that you have yet worked through your longstanding issues, and often are just looking for arguments (something which you claim not to enjoy)

Blah blah blah, if I have not worked through my issues, you are still in your Mommy's womb with your 'look at me, I am a fucking successful man' obsession. love to argue with you because it is so fucking easy. You are a very simple person when it comes to most issues and any level of nuance is lost on you. There are more ways to drive a nail then using the same brick over and over again.

Have at me, I am hitting the road now. I will post my second class train seat picture in a minute.

Is that the same Kostas or did they get something mixed up because musically that doesn't sound like his style, but if he managed to accomplish all of that in the past 6 years, gattttdamn!
I told Kara the exact same thing. Looking at pictures from him from there and other sites (with the same name the U Street club is using) the Kostas they are referring to looks a lot younger and just not the same person. Perhaps someone from the venue got lazy and did not check very carefully. That being said, I have looked many times for Internet links/FB/Myspace sites for the Red Kostas and never found any.

Kostas was always a super great guy. I have at least 15 wonderfully made CDs that he gave me over the years. A really class act.
