Need info on best external soundcard for my laptop, using Maschine + 2xYamaha hs80

    Hi guys,

I'll be building my first little homestudio, buying a pair of Yamaha hs80, a Maschine 1.7, and now I need to plug all this together.

I have an Asus K50IN with a bad sound card, and I was wondering which external sound card I could get to let my sound fly from my computer to the speakers ?

From what I've seen, the Yamaha can get XLR cables, as well as Jacks.

Any idea would be welcome, don't want to buy from the audioshop advice alone!

    Thanks in advance,

    Idance

Been looking around and this M-AUDIO fast track pro se should do the trick, isn't it?

What say you? I really need simple stuff, I've read about ASIO as I'm running under Windows 7, seems okay for that too.

    Try the focusrite sapphire 6
It's a good card and a good price
It's also has a headphone switching button so perfect for traktor too

I use one and it works well

I use the fast trak ultra & it has been working flawlessly for me.. don't know about the fast trak pro.. but most soundcards are using the same technology these days.. just get the one with the features you'll need. All converters are the same quality they just differ with features!
