    Thanks Ray.

The only down side to his day was his mother didn't show up.
She had zero reason to not be there. She is in the Army too and said she was in some sort of class and couldn't make it.
She knew the time frame that he would be graduating and she's been to every class required of her for her rank.

The real deal for her absents is...she was too embarrassed to show up in uniform because she is a Sergeant First Class and has NEVER been to a combat zone.
I on the other hand have ribbons up to my shoulder, seven combat stripes & tabbed. She is a recruiter who has never been to a simple peace keeping mission but - recruits people to join the Army and do what she won't do...go to war.

The term "Lead From The Front" is something she knows nothing about.

The upside is "rumor has it that" - as of FY2013 / Oct 1, 2012, the department of the Army will be going threw all the records of soldiers from the top down, and all these Sergeants that have been in for years and have avoided combat tours will be kicked out, to include the ones with medical limitations on paper that deems them non deploy-able to combat zones.

It's all good though, he is doing him now.

I could be wrong about the reason his mother didn't show up but after the dirty looks she got from his drill sergeants at his basic training graduation (because she is a Sergeant First Class but never went any combat zone) that kinda says personal embarrassment is the reason.

Al I know is, there ain't no way any parent that is able - to attend any great step in their child life shouldn't be there for the event.

She was like my baby is now grown up going away. He might not come back because he joined the army. I don't want to lose my child.
