This is not true (thank GOD). For those of you who may not already know, Syb has Sarcoidosis. She's been completely blind for a few years now, and she's been living with family. We are throwing a fundraiser for her medical expenses at Taj on June 6th. Further details to come..

sarcoidosis is no joke. one of my best friends has this disease from working with asbestos.very sad to hear the devastating effect it has had on her life. i hope and pray Ceybil`s adjustment in the visually impaired world will not impact her too negatively and that she will find a new lease on life and once again bless us with her god given voice.

they say if one sense is impaired the others become more acute. perhaps a new wave of creative energy will manifest in her soul!

Benefit is July 6th...

I believe it probably was a misunderstanding once the email for the benefit party went out...let's not trip out, I understand that this rumor is upsetting (it was to me), but let's keep cooler heads. had to be a genuine misunderstanding on the part of whomever started it.

Someone need to rewrite that email for the benefit party....very misleading and I can see how someone could jump to the conclusion that Ceybil passed.

Growing up we all used to Jones over Syb. I remember coming home from college one weekend not even knowing that she sings. She'd just come out with 'Love so Special' and was performing it at Zanz. She put all of us down on the guest list like it was nothing. That was my very first time being 'listed' in a major night club. The Hunt family (Maybe Tony Winter as well?) and myself were up in there hollering like we had no sense.

Mike, to be shamefully honest I don't remember this cut. I'll have to check it out when I get home from work. Good looking out on that one. The Hunt family (several beautiful sisters), T Dub, and the rest of us all lived on the other side of C.I. about a block away from Seagate. I believe that Jeffries is probably her married name.
