I went out last nite promoting and realized Chicago ain't really dead. It's the closed minded folks who suffer from the cheers syndrome.I felt really sorry for those folks who were at the Flop House last nite.I left a damn good party at Superlounge and came down there and just saw the look of disappointment on some heads faces who go there still, even though they say the place is wack and they think there's nuthin' better.

If they only searched for the real they would find it.I had a good laugh to myself.I did not get a chance to hit up Anthony Nicholson's nite yet.I am planning to hit it very soon.I like to experience whatever I can..at least once.Try it..ya may like it...or learn a thing or 2. ;)

right...and everyone who thinks chi is dead can...can...well, i'll keep it clean and not finish that one...let them have to live in other places (like HERE) and see if they'll be wanting to go back home soon...

What's up J'..
The people @ the Flop House is young as hell for one.
The thing that made me wana go home was the fact that some "Big Dude" was on the flore yelling "old school" and bouncing up and down off of "Freaky Mutha-****a".
That alone made me say that people here are so danm trained, Kind of make you think about the direction of house music.
But i put blame on the Dj's there, playing the same shit over and over again to the point the needle is on strike!
Anyway's, keep doing what your doing!

you're right. i don't gravitate towards the lame either, but you have to admit they do exist. i don't give them any energy. i've only been to the prop house once (1992) and it was a private party.

Pat hit it on the head, part of the problem is on the dj's.Thank goodness,I was not in the club.I honestly see no point in going down there period,to promote that is.I really just went on a sick whim.Let the robots have their fun.We know where to go to get ther real.I know where to go to whatever I want to hear,be it disco or modern house music.

I have found my personal utopias and let the robots continue to be programmed.

You also have to remember that we have some cuntry folks here also.Remember Chicago was a big migratory city. Why do you think we still have folks here who rock curls??

J,that friday nite set has been going strong for years there.Rel knows what he is doing.I have played at one of their sets before. It's a gay nite, with a strong gay following.
It would have been off the hook if it was not a special event.
