@ Danny the whole "not be seen by the world of boxing" thing can be applied to FMjr as well but he didn't get robbed and Cotto actually won rounds against him
Yeah, but the subject is about why Pacquaio was so blatantly robbed. FMJr is self-promoted. Paq is promoted by Bob Arum, who is hands down considered the most erratic and duplicitous promoter not named Don King. FMJr occupies a business space all by himself in the world of boxing. If he fights or doesn't fight, it's only his money at risk. Paquaio occupies the business space of others and is making a career of DENYING the sport it's biggest prize: the Mayweather Pacquaio Superfight. That puts a lot of people's money at risk.
Hence, FMJr can weather political storms that Paquaio obviously cannot. FMJr chooses not to fight, he doesn't have allegiances to maintain. Paquaio's career is built upon allegiances.
Bottom line, someone else called for that ridiculous decision last night. That wasn't judges' prerogative. That was someone getting to the judges. Who would want to do that and why?
Keep in mind that Bob Arum promotes both Pacquaio and Bradley. One judge was for Paq. One judge was for Bradley and the third was for whomever the note in the moneyed envelope told him to be for. See what I'm sayin'?
Shit - it could be backlash against Bob Arum, who is such a prick, even HBO regrets having to deal with him. Arum has a prize jewel in Pacquaio and he knows it and deals for fights expecting everyone to cross the palm and kiss his ass. There's no straight business with Arum. Last night was business on a level that has nothing to do with the craft of boxing.
There's only one reason someone would set Pacquaio up to lose, and that's if it satisfied the interests of someone who isn't Bob Arum.
