Hey Mike, thanks again for dropping knowledge, never heard of this tune, great one!

I thought about these old and strange plates I've heard in some crazy belgian record shop, the guy was a huge fan of dub music and dropped me some bridges between reggae and hip hop.

The owner only left 2 names, first was the great Bunny Wailer (From Bob Marley's Wailers) with "Back To school Again", lyrics are def weak but funny, the beat is smooth and exciting :

Second one was by Solid C and friends, actually a trio with Boby D and Kool Drop (ever heard of these cats Mike?) who released "Wack Rap" on Wackie's, an excellent reggae/dub label, which records seemed to be playin in NYC first hip hop parties, Jah Batta was playing those. Maybe you'll have stories about that too Mike?

I remember a third groove but never been fortunate enough to catch it yet, all I can remind was some disco bassline and some rhymes by a reggae vocalist, something about "Zorro... He's a fox... He's the catcher... The big Fox... Ladies beware here's Zorro the Fox". Or sum' like that.

138, Would you agree that the break of, Catch the Beat', Is one of the best breaks in hiphop history, My man, Also, Pumpkin/Rip(Legendary hiphop producer from 1979 thru the 80's, Was supposed to be the drummer on, 'Catch the Beat', But, Pumpkin was locked in to a contract with Enjoy Records in 1981, So, T-Ski-Valley had to hire a session musician by the name of JT Thomas who played the drums on, 'Catch the Beat', My man, 138, What should have been done to put the

Drummer's tempo in rhythm, My man, Also, T-Ski Valley bit more than a few rhymes from Hollywood on, 'Catch the Beat', Too/LOL, 138, 'Catch the Beat', Was the very first hiphop plate that i heard Larry Levan run at the Garage in 1982(And money was rockin doubles of the break for a few too, My man)

The Crackhouse, I remember Maboya run the plate, 'Back to school', By Bunny Wailer at Riis Beach during the early 80's(Around 1982), Maboya was one of the un-sung Legendary Dj's on the Dance music circuit in New York during the early 70's thru the early 80's(Maboya started in 1970 in Brooklyn, My man), The Crackhouse, I never heard of the Jazzy 3's MC's(Solid C, Bobby-D, Kool-Drop), My man, Though, I do remember this plate, 'Wack Rap', During the early 80's(Around 1980 or so),

Though, I do remember the Jazzy 5 MC's from the Bronx, Who we're out of Bambatta's camp of hiphop crews(Exhibit :Zulu Nation, Soul Sonic Force, Etc, The Jazzy 5 made the plate, 'Jazzy Sensation', From 1981(Produced by Shep Pettibone, JellyBean Benetiz, Bambatta, Arthur Baker, Etc).
