Any Producers Want To Remix A Newcleus Classic?

I've already gotten a ton of responses from Electro producers, but I would LOVE some House remixes as well! Perhaps I'll even do one myself, heheheh....

Before we went into Sigma to lay "Teknology" on 24 track in 1985 I recorded it on my 12 track Akai recorder. Well, I have transferred the multis to digital. It is exactly the same as the release (minus edits and effects of course). What I don't have is the drums (I assume any remixer would change them anyway) and the samples, but everything else is there! The "Tek-Nology" voice sample is isolated on the CD so I'll grab that and include it too.

Here is what I am doing. Anybody who contacts me to do a remix I will give the stems to. If I like your remix I will release it in some fashion. The best ones I will include on an official release on CD and digital. The very best perhaps even vinyl. Of course, all remixes will be my property... HOWEVER, as compensation for your hard work I will license the remix back to each remixer to release or sub-license on a 50/50 basis. You only have to notify me as to your usage. Of course, if I release it commercially you can't just give it away, but if I give it away knock yourself out! Message me if you're interested!

BTW, if this is in the wrong section please accept my apologies and move it please. Thanks! :-)

NEW OFFICIAL DEADLINE FOR REMIXES IS AUGUST 27TH!!!

    Welcome to DHP Ben!

Much love for Newcleus on this board. Ya'll made some serious futuristic hip hop funk as Newcleus. Get Blackwax (producers forum administrator) to make a sticky thread in the producers corner for your remix project. I'm sure people would love to bite on that.

I can't tell you how many hours I spent on restriction, in my room, trying to teach myself how to B-Boy & Pop with Newcleus playing in the background. Shit, I've still got Jam On It on my iPod.

That bass line is one of the top 10 most recognizable bass lines in all of hip-hop IMO.

I can't possibly imagine that you ever expected your music to "last" this long, to make this kind of impression on so many's people's youth & musical tastes. It's gotta be kinda surreal at times.

Thank you for your addition to the soundtrack of my youth & welcome to the board.

Ben (Cosmo D)....respects sir. And thank YOU.....that "Jam On It"...best $4.98 I ever spent.....made me hero of the hour many a time in 83-84 when I'd drop it in back lots, house parties and parks......kids would scream when that got played oowee. Even now (at Old School events) Newcleus joints get monster love.

    Welcome.

    Welcome Ben.

I was actually partial to Jam On Revenge and Computer Age (Push The Button) vs. Jam On It.

Your music brings back alot of good memories......JMJ

At least a month, and probably longer. When I set 1 I will post it here and on the Newcleus page on Facebook.
