Booking my flights shortly. Indy is a difficult airport so it's best to book early

This is the best hook-up I ever got from this board.

I'm looking forward to attending. Again

I read in Black Enterprise magazine, about its Entrepreneurs Conference and Golf and Tennis Challenge. And for the ladies, its Women's Conference. I read Dave's annual posts about the NBMBAA Conferences. It makes me very happy to see entities like Black Enterprise and NBMBAA doing what they do to ensure diversity and success in the American workplace! And props to Dave for educating us about NBMBAA!

This was the complaint during the super bowl, as well as it was very little to do in the city there. That being said, I am thinking of attending this year to see if I should be "taking my talents" elsewhere.

    No doubt

James Carville gave a speech here in NYC yesterday. He thought it was outrageous that for the first time in American history, folks were talking down education. He thinks we need to do anything we can to encourage it

I ok forward to this event, and this thread, every year

nice Ray, hope to see you there

... when the NBMBAA Conference is in town, any town, there isn't enough time in any given day/evening to do all the stuff (and most stuff is FREE, if you paid for only the Career Fair/Expo) ... so no concerns about this being in Indy

... just a few choice images from years past, to give you a feel for what I'm saying

i have planned, hosted and attended conferences like this all over the country, when these meetings happen in "smaller" cities it can make the meeting so much better because of fewer outside touristy distractions, this conference is one of the best, for a variety of reasons, I would encourage everyone the least bit remotely interested to attend

Ok, thanks for all this great info (DaveR and Mark always gave great info on this event every year).

Question...I really just want to attend for the Career Fair Expo, and I know it is held over a few days towards the end of the week, can you tell me the inside scoop to this event, such as, best day/time to attend, etc.

The Career Expo is the biggest bang for the buck, with the 350+ companies all just sitting there waiting for you ... it's held Thursday & Friday

... you'll see 2 prices for the Expo - http://www.nbmbaaconference2012.org/regPricing.html- one for members and another for non-members (right now it's $125 and $325) ... in past years, if you buy a 1-year membership before registering (and get the member price), it comes out to the same (or lower) amount as simply registering as a non-member -- plus, attendance gives you membership for the next year

    * Go to the Conference Job Match site - upload your resume, and folks will contact you for all kinds of opportunities (from entry-level and more), and often ask to schedule you for an interview (onsite at the conference) in advance

I am neither Black nor an MBA and I had a blast at this thing two years ago with Dave and Mark. That Vik Duplaix party was fun, all the parties were fun.

If you can roll with Dave or Mark, fun times.

I tell folks that they don't have to be black or an MBA to take advantage of this event.
