A Celebration of Spirit and Dance
July 27th – 29th
The event is a three-day festival extended to 7(Seven) in the City’s historic Lincoln Park. The music festival will include a range of entertainers performing a wide range of musical forms including those of Jazz, Gospel, House, Hip-Hop and sounds from the African Diaspora; green vendors, arts and craft vendors; local restaurants, organic farmer’s market products. For children the festival will offer games, storytelling, golf clinics, skateboard clinics and a host of family oriented activities. The weekend will close with the 35thAnniversary of the Rock Steady Crew with a variety of musical and dance performances including break dancers, graffiti artists, and open- mic battles. Surprise guests entertainers will perform throughout the Festival.

How can I apply for a crafts or food booth?
Applications for food and merchandise vendors are reviewed on a first come, first serve basis. You must register with LPCCD before obtaining a special events permit application from the City of Newark. Click here for Vendors application and City of Newark Special Events Permit application. Gospel will feature local, regional and national recording gospel artists. YOPAT’s “Newark Idol” will feature City Wide Youth showcase of dancers, rappers, singers and spoken word and celebrity judges.
