    you are truly bugging!!!

If you were at the Garage when Larry played Bostich and dropped thhe video screen and played the chase sceen from TRON at the same time, you would never make a post like this.

You must not have been at Hubert Street/Club Vinyl to see what Disco Party does to a full capacity SHELTER party.

Jingo is an all time jam that if your party is in a rut, you whip this out of it's jacket, slap it on the turntable and the party instantly goes into over drive and all is saved and folks talk about your party until the end of days.

Oh hell no! Why people embraced this track over star love is beyond me. I think because it reminded them of emotions best of my love.

it depends on what time you playing each record...Jingo you play at 2am when the Henny is coursing through folks veins and you want to sell more at the bar and take the party higher...1000 fingerman, you play at 8am when the acid has taken full effect and the dancers are full stretched and loose.

For the record, I prefer Jingo.

Most of the fabric of The PG's history I have put together comes from the oral tradition not books, but I hear yah. Since I was never their it's always fun to add another piece to the story in my mind. Thanks for that.

When I DJ'd at some of the parties for Larry "Star Love" had to be one of the all-time peak songs. Like a tornado just passed through the dance floor. Just had to be slowed down quite a bit.

@Little Ray: As far as I remember, the Tron bike chase videos were pieces I edited together, some video edits that I was probably bringing and playing as I had completely stopped the DJ thing by then, but gotten heavily into video editing, paintbox SFX and such, and would come to the party with a suitcase full of big U-Matic 3/4" tapes and fiddle with some of them (like Grace Jones 'slave to the rhtyhm') while Larry was playing music. This was in 1985 ~ 86. There was even talk with Larry of getting Keith Haring involved but sadly I was traveling too much and it never happened.

Even though the topic is about 'Yuck' I choose to ignore it and follow Little Ray's fork.

Let's hijack the topic and turn it into good memories of things we saw or did at The Garage!!

    Thanks PHC!

wow...so you did it!! anothger mystery solved...did you do those video things also with that Centurion (half man, half Horse) beast from that movie and the beast would talk, saying something to this woman, and right when the woman was to speak, Larry would play "You don't own me bastard, you fucking asshole"??

Or the Grace Jones video where she walks on stage (real fast), picks up the horn, and right when she was about to blow it, Larry would drop "No More Mind Games" instrumental?

One of the things I loved about the Garage was the dj booth was off limits to 99% of the party people, and so you never knew what was being done or how it was being done...yyou had to make it up in your mind by the little vision you could see from the floor...if you had no business in the booth, you had no business in the booth!!!

ahhh, the memories....thanks for that Francois.

That "barking dogs" track could also have been this one:

Kind of obscure Chicago release. I always played it pitched down a bit.
