Old Disco Jock, Mad cats have been waiting for the documentary on the Founding Fathers DVD as well as the documentary on Junbug from a few years, My man, I haven't heard what the situation is regarding the release dates with both documentaries, Though, I would like to state that when The Founding Fathers and Junbug's documentaries come out, Alot of questions will be answered in regards to who was doing what with confirmed information to back it up, My man/LOL, Old Disco,

Junbug was a vastly talented cat who could rock a party with grimy hiphop cats in a spot or in a park throwdown, And rock a party with big-time drug dealersin attendance(Exhibit A:Like 371 used to have during the mid to late 70's in the Bronx/LOL), Or, Rock a party with an older mature crowd where cats had to dress up to get into a spot, My man, Old Disco, Hollywood taught Junbug how to mix during the early/mid 70's(Along with Hollywood teaching Dj Smalls how to mix to during

The late 70's too, My man), On the low, Junbug used to supply weight to the Furious 5 during the late 70's to early 80's, My man/LOL, Along with Junbug being one of the very first Latino Dj's on the hiphop circuit during the mid 70's(Along with Disco Wiz from the Bronx, Who was the first Latino Dj, While Disco Wiz was down with Caz/Grandmaster Caz as the Mighty Force in 1974).

BX of course when we're discussing uptown....the heights wasn't really on the radar until that musical came out.
Interesting moments was when the elder around the 8 minute mark discussed how the terminology of music genres spring out to de-emphasize what is essentially black music & not disco. The teacher on the q&a part also brought a good point on educating to the next generation of an American product that became a global phenomenon such as hip-hop developed from their nyc neighborhoods.....although she did go off into a tangent towards the end imo

El Mayimbe, The elder cat that you mentioned earlier is M.Morton Hall(Legendary Concert and Dance Music party Promoter during the 1950's,60's,70's,80's, In New York City, My man), El Mayimbe, M.Morton Hall stated that the word, 'Disco', Was created to seperate the music which was always Dance music, Though, The music industry saw a way of making money by calling dance music, 'Disco', In 1975/76 and alot of cats fell for the murph(Trick), That the music industry was

Running to seperate the music that was always created to be universal without any labels, My man, El Mayimbe, I despise the term, 'Disco', My man(Like i despise the term, 'Rap', Too, My man/LOL), El Mayimbe, It's very important for any supporter of Dance Music and Hiphop(Not rap), To know and understand the history of those cats who came before the hiphop circuit was formed during the early 70's(1973/74), Because cats we're already established on the mobile dj circuit in

Brooklyn in 1959 and in Queens in 1968, Years before Herc came into prominece in the Bronx in 1972/73, My man, El Mayimbe, Brooklyn and Queens cats gave alot in regards to impact and contributions to the dance music circuit and mobile dj circuit, Which gave cats the blueprint to rock throwdowns in the parks in the

Bronx during the early/mid 70's, El Mayimbe, I'm in the midst of getting intouch with Hollywood and Eddie Chebba to build with cats on the DHP board for a few in the coming weeks, So we can once again give respect and admiration to the legends who paved the way for the hiphop movement to thrive and come off thru the years, My man.

The Documentary really goes into how Junebug was pushing weight and it took away from his DJ career... but he was making more money slangin that spinnin... it's a really sad story... cause Junebug seems like a nice cat and a really talented DJ.

Sorry I can't be of any help on the founding fathers dvd tho. wasn't even up on that one.

DjKlas, Good lookin in regards to you'r request to square me with a copy of, 'White Lines and the Fever', My man, Klas, Did the documentary build about Junbug being the supplier of weight for the Furious 5 during the late 70's/early 80's, My man, Klas, Junbug was one of the most talented dj's on the hiphop circuit during the 70's/early 80's, Because Junbug used to rock any type of party(Hiphop throwdowns in a park or spot, Grimy Stickup kid crowd, Hiphop throwdowns in a park or

Spot, Big Willy criminal throwdowns, Celebrity laden basketball throwdowns, R/B crowd, Dance music crowd, Etc, Money(Junbug), Could go in any direction musically(Which alot of cats could not do on the New York Dj circuit and i'm building about big-name cats who could not rock in the spots that Junbug was rockin at, My man(Not because those big-name cats could not rock musically, But, The crowd was not the same type of crowd that alot of cats we're used to rockin for during the 70's,

So, When a cat knows mad criminal cats like Nicky Barnes, Guy Fisher, Freddie Myers, Bat Ross(Nicky Barnes crew), Along with an assortment of legendary stickup kids in attendance in a spot, Shit, A cat may want to pass on rockin at that spot(Regradless of money, Which was there for the asking, Though, The threat of danger in the air in regards to, 'Pap,Pap,'Pap', Was not the type of atmosphere some cats we're used to, Unless cats traveled in those circles during the 70's in New York, My man/LOL.

Mike, I sent you a PM... shoot me your addy.

As mentioned it's a real short story... short but bitter sweet. They don't mention anyone specific who he sold to (like the Furious 5). But they show how it escalated and took over his life... and eventually took his life. They talk about the club and the scene... there's a picture in there of Junebug partying with Eddie Murphy.... but later they go into this cat Crazy Eddie... who was someone who people got a hold of when they needed someone got.... they say how bug used to run tabs with so many people that he couldn't enjoy DJing cause he would look out and see a bunch of people who owed him money... well he must have owed big to his suppliers cause they make it out like Crazy Eddie was the one who got him.

Dj Klas, Check your e-mail and private messages, My man, Klas, 'Crazy Eddie', Was Caz and JDL's(Coldcrush 4), Man from the Bronx, Who used to have a spot on Burnside Ave in the Bronx, Not far from the Club 371 during the 70's and 80's, My man, Klas, I don't have much information on Crazy Eddie, Accept for what i heard about him being mad violent with his in regards to the murder game, My man, Klas, Did anyone on the, 'White Lines Documentary', Build about George and Reggie Fullien from the Bronx(Who we're

Kingpins in The Bronx during the 70'and 80's, My man Klas, 371 was most definitely a spot for Willy's on the movin weight circuit during the mid 70's to early 80's, Though, The music was rockin mad lovely via Reggie Wells(Who used to mix for Eddie Chebba, Upstairs), Klas, Reggie Wells was one of the top dj's in New York during the late 70's to mid 80's, Infact, Reggie Wells used to mix on BLS(Guest spots during the late 70's to early 80's), Klas, Reggie Wells was extemely highly regarded for puttin in much work at

Justines(Which was located on 35thst and 8thave, Down the block from Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, During the late 70's to mid 80's), My man, Klas, Did anyone on the documenatary build about the showroom new Lincoln Town cars and 98's that Reggie Wells, Hollywood, Junbug, Eddie Chebba used to get from the cat who ran 371, My

Mike, I don't remember the names George or Reggie Fullien being discussed in the documentary. Don't remember anything about the Lincoln town cars either... I wish the documentary was longer and had gone more in depth.

Dj Klas, Again, Mad good lokin in regards to the Documentary on Junbug, My man, Klas, I didn't know Junbug was murdered so violently in 1983, My man, Also, That cat Crazy Eddie from the Bronx, Like i stated before was crew with Caz and JDL(Coldcrush 4), During the 70's and 80's, Though, I do not recall Crazy Eddie

Being a bigtime king-pin on the movin weight circuit, during the 70's and 80's But since Crazy Eddie was giving weight to Junbug to move at the Fever, Shows me i have to do my research on Crazy Eddie, My man, Klas, Junbug was a very talented cat who ran on a circuit that was extremely dangerous for those who we're not built for that type of atmosphere in regards to movin weight, My man.

From the literature & oral history ive been understanding from all these years is that the reason why an emphasis was given to Herc. & the BX was more in reflection of the ethnic diversity especially from the African diaspora that cultivated HIP HOP into what it became. Herc is an immigrant of Jamaica, a country that has a strong history of developing sound systems via neighborhood parties & studio production that paved the way for so many elements that music is produced nowadays.
The clip of this documentary seem to focus more on the DJing aspect of HIP HOP & not a deep overall picture of the genre itself. And with that idea ill go along with what the producers are trying to say: cats outside of the BX were ahead of the game when it came to DJing evolution

El Mayimbe, Are you stating that Herc being from Jamaica, Had alot to do with Herc being placed as the creator of hiphop in regards to power(Sound systems), My man, Because Flowers was Jamaican, Maboya was Jamaican and those cats we're on the mobile dj circuit years before Herc(Flowers started out in 1968 and Maboya started out in 1970, My man), El Mayimbe, The reason why the Bronx was given the opportunity to tell they're story in regards to the beginnings of hiphop, Is The Bronx had the worst

Reputation for being one of the grimest spots in New York City during the 1970's(South Bronx), Along with Bed Stuy in Brooklyn and Harlem, Though the media concentrated on what was happening in the Bronx in regards to the music circuit and Herc was given the opportunity to tell his story, Though, Cats in Brooklyn and Queens and Manhattan, We're rockin in the parks for years before the Bronx during the late 50's(1959, With John Ausby and Qj Simpson, Though, The mobile Dj circuit did not gain prominence until

1968 when Flowers came on the mobile Dj circuit and Maboya followed in 1970, While Pete Dj Jones being from the Bronx, Started out in 1967, Rockin in the Bronx,Manhattan and Brooklyn, But, For an older crowd who frequented the parks and spots in New York City, My man).

Klas, Junbug being mad crew with Hollywood, Put Junbug in a very good position to meet mad ferocious criminals, Because criminal cats wanted Hollywood to rock they're parties during the 70's and 80's, My man(Exhibit A:Nicky Barnes, Guy Fisher hired Hollywood to rock they're parties during the early 70's to early 80's, Along with AZ, Rich Porter and Po hanging mad hard in the dj booth at the Rooftop in Harlem with Hollywood and Brucie B who was the house dj at the Rooftop

During the mid 80's to early 90's, Infact, Po, Rich Porter, AZ, Black-Jus/Rip(Who was down with Supreme's crew from Jamaica,Queens during the mid 80's to late 80's, All used to cop tapes from Hollywood for $200 dollars a tape during the mid 80's to late 80's at the Rooftop in Harlem, My man/LOL, Klas, I feel the money was very good coming in, Which put Junbug in a position not to refuse, Though, For any cat movin weight(Or scrambling on the block), A cat has to change into a cat

That he does not want to be(If a cat is not built for that type of atmosphere movin weight, My man), Klas, Just like a cat going upnorth for the first time, A cat most definitely has to change into a cat that he does not want to be to survive, My man, A cat movin weight has to be a mad ferocious cat with his in regards to respect and intimidation from anyone who may have thoughts on steppin to a cat, My man, Junbug, allowing mad cats to murph him like that(Cats not paying a depth that

Amassed 50-G's), Showed me that Junbug was not built for the movin weight circuit(Because the same cats who jerked Junbug out of money, Are the very same cats who put Junbug in a position to get dirt-napped, My man(Klas, If cats we're true friends of Junbug, Cats would have payed Junbug for the weight(Drugs),

Knowing that Junbug owes a cat who is mad ferocious with his too(Crazy Eddie), Klas, I would be feeling very bad right about now, If i we're a cat who owed Junbug money, Knowing that i had an impact on Junbug getted moved on by Crazy Eddie in 1983, My man.

Klas, On the low, Sal from the Fever was the very first MVP of the Entertainers Basketball Tournament at Mount Morris Park in Harlem(130thst 5thave), In 1983, My man/LOL, Klas, Sal was nice with his on the basketball side, Though, You would never believe it by lookin at him(Sal), My man/LOL, Klas, The Entertainers Basketball tournament was created by Greg-G(Disco 4 from Uptown/Harlem during the late 70's to mid 80's), In 1983, Featuring, Only hiphop crews playing in the Tournament(Though, Some crews had ringers who we're playing in Pro leagues overseas, My man/LOL), Crews like the Disco 4, Crash Crew, Treacherous 3,

Coldcrush 4, Funky 4, Sugarhill Gang, Fantastic 5, Disco Fever Crew, Harlem World crew, Etc, We're all playing in the Entertainers Basketball Tournament at Mount Morris Park in Harlem from 1983 thru the late 80's, When Greg-G switched the venue to the Rucker on 155thst and 8thave in Harlem in 1989(Courtesy of Ollie Edinboro/Rip, Who was the former Parks director in harlem during the 60's,70's,80's), Infact, Dominique Wilkens was one of the judges of a dunk contest at the

Entertainers basketball tournment during the summer of 1985(Brooks Sneakers payed for Dominique Wilkens to come up to Harlem to judge the dunk contest at the Entertainers basketball tournament in 1985), My man, Klas, The Entertainers Basketball tournament has been a very big entity In New York City for decades

(Especially since Greg-G worked out a TV deal with ESPN during the late 90's, My man), Though, Sal from the Fever was a very big part of the Entertainers Basketball Tournament being well-known all over the world, My man.
