I'm suprised no Vets on here, posted on it, yet. when I Did Basic Training in 1985, MTIs at Lackand were rumored to fratenize with the young recruits. When I got to Tech school, the practice was damn near out in the open. NCO's still going after the youngins. LOL

I went through basic & AIT in 87 and it was pretty much the norm. FT Dix we had the female barracks from us. And Ft Sam Houston for AIT was just a meat market.

Yeah, thats why I tripped when I read this as an 'unfolding scandal'. Off duty TIs would show up at the squadron student dorms(I was in a Co-ed) walking away with the girls. They even had Female Instructors who were known to girl chase, too.
