Lunar Tune (acid house)- Unmastered, feedback welcomed
http://soundcloud.com/o-s-78/lunar-tune
Hey all, i recently got back into producing after a long time out, this is my first offering although it is unmastered, unfinsihed & The bassline needs a bit of work. When I first started out I was using a keyboard, cubase, rebirth & FL aswell as a ridiculous wav editor, (can anyone recommend a good wav editor ?) I recentley got FL10 to mess about with and very happy with it.
Which leads me onto my other question, i know everyone has different ways of doing things but regarding Basslines, I have used several snyth plug ins and sat there for hours going through them to try and get a good solid sound, aswell as the effects when mastering the bass channels, what do others do for this process and what pulg ins (if at all) do you use to get a good pure bass.

For a wav editor use sound forge or wavelab
I have yet to find a good plug in for acid style bass so I have been looking at a hardware clone xoxo box
Hope that helps

Audicity (by SourceForge) is a good and free wave editor. I've got a good plug for acid type sounds and loops but can't remember the name, will post the name up when I get home.

Nice track O.S
On wave editors, I like wavelab. I know a lot of people use bias peak and soundforge. For bass check out Trillian, minimoog vsti's by arturia & g-force, and that jupiter 8 by arturia is great. Although it's a cpu hog. For how others approach it you might check out this thread from about a month or so ago.
