Just saw the movie. It was good, two thumbs up no doubt, but I didn't think it was epic. Special EFX, Batman's toys, etc. were off the chain (way better than the other two). I still like the Dark Knight (with Heath Ledge) better than this one.

It leaves me feeling beaten down by the non-stop dialogue that is either expository or poetic, but never has the pace of how real people talk. After enjoying it in the theater, I now can't really sit through Inception for the same reason. Way too much dialogue, and no place to catch a breath. I'd rather watch a 4 hour cut of his films with some space in between lines than a 2.5 hours trailer.
great point, and yet, i love lenghthy dialogue, it is tougher because you have to pay attention but that is way more interesting than yet another explosion

I found Bane inaudible at times, and predictable. The Joker was not. Leaving Wayne in a prison Well, equipped with a monitor to have him watch at bedside? Then to be shocked that he escapes. Was he left in there to Die or to be motivated?

Yup. Why movies like Nolan's own movie's like Michael Bay's (Worst. Director. Ever.).

I felt the same way about Bane and The Joker. I believe he left him there to eventually die, but in the meanwhile be tortured by watching Gotham fall under his reign. I guess he didn't expect Bruce Wayne to recover live The Wolverine (from X-Men), and be fully healed with the quickness.

LOL @ people picking this movie apart and tryna compare it's excite(ness) to Avengers and such. Just like peoples opinion with the last Matrix - it wasn't made to be better than the first or the second, it was made to continue and conclude that particular part of the story.

The Dark Knight movies was just that, dark. It wasn't supposed to be flashy, bright, colorful, happy and full of "excitement". It was meant to be deep, dark, moody, emotional and melancholy as the title implies (Dark Knight)

Er, you mean like the 1st Dark Knight? LOL Sorry, as successful as the previous film was, comparisons are inevitable.

One week Dark Knight naysayers are accused of over analyzing the film, now we can't appreciate a deep and dark adaptation? Nevermind the mood of the film, I just look for storyline consistency.

saw this flick last night...great movie had a quick question though...they really never did explain why bain had to wear the mask...in the movie they made it seem like they beat him up so bad that it disfigured his face and thus the mask...in the comics it was from a drug addiction to venom correct? also how did robin know to go to the bat cave? great plot twist in the end though
If a person is too stupid to be a DJ, perhaps they are also too stupid to know that he was too stupid to be a DJ — that is, his stupidity protected him from an awareness of his own stupidity.

I don't know about the Bane situation, but I believe there were instructions (directions/map) in the bag that Bruce Wayne left Robin in his will.

Haven't seen it yet but part of that is me questioning why they took Bane's biggest attribute (the serum that makes him bigger and more powerful) out of the equation. I don't care if ya'll spoil it at this point by explaining but, they have reduced their credibility in each movie in this fashion
movie 1 Bruce Wayne has to defeat a horde of ninjas and does
movie 2 The Joker manages to go hand to hand with him briefly but at least the Joker was crazy and we all know about crazy strength
    Movie 3 Bane
maybe I should read the comics to get some background on this dude but he always came off as a mere thug with PEDs

Bane in the comics had a genius level IQ and was able to not only find out Batman was Bruce Wayne, but he also figured out where the Batcave was and ambushed Batman there. Of course common sense should tell any idiot that the only cat physically young enough and rich enough to pay for all that hi tech gear would be Bruce Wayne, but at least it's better than nobody recognizing Superman when he puts on his glasses

Bane is a student of R'as al Ghul in both the comics and the movie, so that explains why he fights so well, just doesn't explain his great physical strength in the movie. He seems reasonably smart in the movie so I'll let it pass, especially since the Hollywood norm for a villain so big and strong is to make him dumb as a brick. It's a step in the right direction. Maybe the next Hollywood Bane in 10 years will be even smarter.

Cool and thanx. I took it upon myself to read up on Bane and never knew many of the things mentioned in his bio. He is much more formidable than I first thought.
