think about it, a privately owned company making 4billion last year, based in Atlanta, can have a significant impact on freedoms sought by supporters of gay rights, this is a very big issue, and though we joke about our taste buds, 4billion goes a long way to impact state and local legislation, to his credit though, ceo dan cathy sits on the board of morehouse and the carter center, still...

yes surr.. and i do not know what they've been contributing, but living in a place where a rich church single-handedly overturned our gay marriage law, i cannot help but have a reaction to the stand their big wig took.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it ain't like he said my company won't hire someone he might be religiously opposed to and dared somebody to step to him. For or against I'm happy a city can tell him F off and he can say F you back especially considering most decisions like this are made with the dollar in mind.

Wendy's Wants Consumers To Know It's Fine With Gays, Disapproves Of Interracial Marriage

    http://www.theonion.com/articles/wen...th-gays,28985/

DUBLIN, OH—Responding to Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy's recent controversial admission of the company's donations to antigay groups, a statement from competing fast food chain Wendy’s let consumers know Monday that it has long supported same-sex couples and only harbors strong objections to interracial marriage. "It's important that Wendy’s customers know our restaurant proudly stands by the right of all Americans to marry whomever they choose, so long as it isn't someone of a different race,” said spokeswoman Jenna Knox, adding that while Wendy’s has always backed pro-gay legislation, it found miscegenation "an abominable offense to God’s will." "Just like our founder Dave Thomas, we dream of living in an America where two loving people of the same sex can freely wed, provided of course that both people are also of the same race, and that no black, Asian, Latin American, or other non-European heritage is allowed to de-purify the white racial bloodline." Following the Wendy’s statement, executives from Jack in the Box confirmed that they too had always supported gay rights and the Holocaust never happened.

I love how these right-wing dopes think they're really making a difference and 'defending marriage' by *eating some chicken.* How does a sandwich help someone's marriage?
Oh, I know very well how I got my name

"But the greatest thing about this controversy," said Colbert, "Is that we have finally managed to politicize yet another part of our lives. I've got to know what positions my food has taken on all the issues. For example, I love Carl Jr's Western Burger. It must be anti-ObamaCare, because it is clearly trying to kill us. And whenever I go to Applebee's, I insist that they only give me right wings. After all, you are what you eat. And now, you also believe what you eat."

Every time you spend your money on anything, whether investing in stock, buying an iPhone or ordering a ball of grease-soaked, hormone-filled bird protein from a poultry factory, you are VOTING for the company you are paying and its ways of doing business.

    voting?

So if I get a Plain Double Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese, I'm voting for McDonald's ... and if I add a Coke, am I voting more for McDonald's, or is that a vote for the local Coca Cola bottler?

... btw, what about the cups, straws, napkins, condiments and such, that often aren't made by the fast food outlet? - who's that a vote for?

There was a time when the same folks opposed to gay marriage was opposed to mixed race marriage. The way I see it is this is a civil rights issue. Any kind of discrimination when it comes to the rights of a group of people is all of our issue. Whether we belong to that group or not.

Giving them the right to oppose to gay marriage is a good riddle. But I totally agree.

What is Chick-Fil-A actually doing to help any married people?

Do they fund counseling for people whose marriages are in trouble?

Do they fund prenatal care for pregnant women?

Do they help married poor people pay their medical bills, since medical bills are the number one cause of bankruptcy in the U.S.?

Do they pay for poor people's weddings?

You know, do they actually *do something*? Or do they just make a lot of noise so they can sucker some people into giving them more money?

    ... Oh. 'S what I thought.

By the way, megachurches can go to hell.
Oh, I know very well how I got my name
