It looks like a lot has changed over there, I was there in the early ninetees. Back then it was a pretty expensive trip as I recall (drugs incl.)
I wonder what the prices are nowadays, club entrance , drinks, hotel?

hotels can be very reasonable as long as you're not looking for luxury, i paid £300 for a week in a 7 bed villa this year... not bad i thought

clubs are still bad if you buy on the door - and no-one does that, same with drinking

I agree Chris, and building on your assessment, even more expensive accomodations are relatively inexpensive

Accommodations

At the last minute, most things in Playa D'en Bossa were booked solid ... I ended up scoring this 2BR apartment in this thread http://deephousepage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=248114 Post #7 (which included stove, dishes, flatware, refrigerator, etc - right on the beach overlooking Bora Bora and a lot of the action, for $500 USD/night - which may sound expensive, but as you can see there were 4 beds, and it slept up to 6 (as advertised)

Food and Drink

in most of clubs I went to, beer was around $5, mixed drinks $6 and higher ... Food out on the street was cheaper than cheap, and doing my liquor runs for the apartment fridge were crazy cheap in my book - e.g. got 6 pack of Heineken + 6 pack of Budweiser + bottle of Chardonnay for $17 total

Clubs

Plenty of the daytime & early action spots are free .... the big clubs seemed to be charging $25-50, but that's standard with the big name entertainment imho - luckily I got comped at Space and Amnesia, but still considered the normal cover charges to be reasonable, and certainly would have paid them for the experience


Cabs & Transportation

Pretty cheap, but harder to get at night ... but the party bus is only $3, and goes to most of the major venues
I didn't bother renting a car, b/c I don't drink and drive ... but one afternoon I did rent a scooter for $35 total (included insurance) to explore more remote parts of the island ... the $35 was for the day, so I could have kept it overnight/24hours

... in the end, I will definitely be back to Ibiza next season (maybe even this September near closing)
