Selling Your Music On Your Own Website...

I hope you're doing good. For anyone who's selling their music on their website/blog... do you generate more sales on your site or most of the cash comes from stores/distributors?

And if you have some advise please share as I'll be opening my digital store for my record label really soon! Vega Records also has an online store, I see most of their releases start selling on the store then after a while uploaded on other digital stores.

DO you guys think this is a wise move? Digital even offline stores have a huge list of music, so it can be hard for people to find your music! One other thing I'm concerned about is trust, it's not easy for people to just trust any website with their credit card/paypal account. Hope you guys will engage in this discussion.

Now there's a rumour going around, people saying that some Major online stores are also taking bribes and on top of that their giving people fake reports!! What do you think about that?

I guess I presumed this happened to some extent anyway! The big players with lots of money and connections could easily give a magazine or something similar a backhander to make them look more popular - There's corruption in every industry!
