serious question: have you played it in a live club setting to folks on the dancefloor? what was the response? what time would you play this?

For me, it is too "sleepy"...not enough drama, goes nowhere slowly, and just not enough energy for the dancefloor....great for chilling with a drink in the backyard though....not bad and not a disaster. She has a nice voice, but seem more suited for R&B, or the track needs a better remix, with more drama/energy parts.

I JUST got hipped to it the day of the post so no is the answer to your live setting questions. When I heard it though I recognized it having a sleepy feel but I think it actually works in its favor, I see it crossing boundaries in that it will get R&B women drawn in .as far as our scene I bet women would love it and I'd go out on a limb and say it could get anthem status played properly.
I can see other remixes being perhaps more energy driven but to me this track has a place in an early pre-peak set or after a peak cool down.
Thank you Ray for an honest and insightful critique that I can pass on to the producer.

"anthem status" is a real stretch...this is a more outdoor/pool party type jam...early in the party record..maybe even setup of the party...I cannot see this as a peak time or even a late morning jam....way too mellow, and yes, very R&B....if I didn't watch the video and see her dancing to this (with the mic behind the dj lady) I really wouldn't think this is a tune made with dance in mind. Again, it is not bad, real smooth (too smooth), and great to play in your backyard so as not to "disturb" the neighbors....unfortunately, of late, I am into "neighbor-disturbing" type music.

So you don't think I am against new smooth tracks, here is a new smooth track (available on traxsource also) that I feel have drama and could be some peak time ish...and the female voice is not even as strong as the woman in your video...but this has that feel, and a catchy chorus, which I did not hear in your track:

This is nice but I didn't think "I need this in my life" like I did when I heard "I decided"
but I would play the shit out of this too.

sure it wasn't the visual in the video you were fixated on...hahahahaha...

anyways, here is a different, more upbeat mix of the track you may prefer:

probably should not en gage in critique, but, pretty bland, and harmonically dead.
