How many of you have mostly unfinished projects. I have so many unfinished projects and not enough finished. I just have a hard time pieceing together loops for some reason. Peace.

all I have are 'unfinished projects' probably close to 100 of 'em
I have tons of unfinished projets. I think this is what all producers go thru. I sometime use the pices of unfinished songs to put into new songs... I say always keep your unfinished projects you may find the inspiration to finish them later.....

It is not about what others are doing it is about what are YOU doing. Constantly mentioning what you feel are others faults show insecurity in self...
I have a shitload of unfinished projects. most of them just need a good mixdown, but that means I have to find all the parts, etc. and set up the studio time & engineer. With so much going on I just don't have the time, but hopefully within the next few months I'm straightening that out, cause it would be a shame to just sit on the tracks forever, now, wouldn't it?

why not swap unfinished projects with someone else and see what they can come up with using your framework?
especially easy to do if your music is mostly computer-based..
everything is unfinished
living up to your name, I see. ;)Originally posted by alex zen:

Actually this is what Sammy and I did for "Remember the Music". It is easier to get a sound when it is someone elses project. But when it is your own,you tend to be more critical and sometimes even embarrised by your attemt, call it lame and trash it or put it off for later. I suffer with this all the time. Remember when KMFDM and Thrill Kill Kult put out a 12" with each other doing a remix of the other ones song? I thought that was very cool. I'm down if you guys are down. I have a few projects, loops and sounds to share. Hit me up on my E-Mail if you want to do this. I have mostly ACID files. Peace.Originally posted by suenomartino:

try to find external feedback....other people's feedback can really help you to finish a track...
most important lesson: creating music is 20% creativity, ideas and talent...and 80% hard work.... recording the basic idea is often relatively easy, but to form it into a real track with enough interest is really difficult...
my solution: i force myself to create a rough arrangement on the same day i record the basic idea..... this really helps....
