What's the deal with the plug-ins? I have pro tools 6 as well as 5 on a mac but I don't want to make the switch from 5 to 6 because I'll lose about 200 plugins.

If they are legit plugins (not crack versions) and
if you have the authorization disk you can move them to version 6.1

No Pro-Tools for me. I'm off Avid/Digidesign forever.

Although I'll be defecting to Logic from Digital Performer. MOTU is just too far behind everyone else in development. No Audio Units in DP? Ugh.

Pro Tools 6 runs in OS X only and the plugins authorization are done with the Ilok system. So if you have plugins (OS 9)on 5.3 on back they have to be moved to the new system.....check the Ilok link...

What version on ProTools did you have? And What Plugins ? I might want to aquire them......Also Apple OWNs Logic(Emagic)...And Emagic has a joint venture with digidesign......No escape..........
