She is my favorite singer in the whole world! I still love Rick; I don't care who he tied/drugged up! But I can't go! I hope you enjoy yourself! I went to see her at the House of Blues this January and she brought me near tears at the end of her set. She went to church at the end. She has a bad ass female sax player. Give updates afterward!

Where?
don't forget your pipe
I saw them both back in 83. Some cats were fighting up front and Rick told them to stop. They continued and Rick packed his shit up.
I am sad to report that Slick Rick has seen better days. He was downright horrible. If it weren't for Teena the show would have been a bust. The V103 crew did a good job of hyping the crowd with the old school songs before the performance. Teena came out first and got the crowd hype, then Rick came out and couldn't hardly get through the song. Now, Ghetto Life is a bonifide jam, but when he started into it, my wife was like what song is that. Rick James is horrible now. It broke my heart, because Rick was somewhat of a hero to me in my youth. The Fire and Desire duet was a disaster. Rick talked for about 3 minutes and then tried to break into the song and almost blew a lung. Sad but true. He kept diping off stage and then would reappear???? It got so bad that Teena started doing one of his songs and he came back on stage about halfway through to finish it. Go see Teena, I saw her at the HOB and she was great. But if Rick is on the marquee, save your money!!!!! I was mad, disappointed and a little heart broken.

That's sad to hear. At least my girl tried to take up the slack. When he was in the movie "Life", I almost didn't even recognize him.
Looks like you got a trick instead of a treat.
