Like it or not, Kordell Stewart gives the Bears a much better chance of winning than Chandler at this point. His numbers are actually BETTER than Chandler's, and it appears that the time off did him good. He's got a much better grasp of the Bears pathetic offensive scheme, and let's face it: Now is not the time to throw Rex Grossman out there. The Bears need to win all four of their remaining games just to have a chance to make the playoffs by winnig the division (because the Wild Card isn't going to happen), and with Green Bay tomorrow, followed by Washington, Minnesota, and Kansas City, it's just not going to matter. Next year. Three of the Bears four remaining opponents are competing for playoff spots (KC is already in actually), and the Bears still have a slight chance, albeit a snowball's chance in hell, so now is not the time to throw Grossman to the wolves.....JMJ

are you saying that Stewart should play as long as we have a shot at the playoffs tomorrow? if so, suppose we get knocked out of playoffs, he should be good to go the next week.

I'd say stay with Stewart for the rest of the year because after the Bears eliminate themselves from the playoffs, Jauron and Shoop are as good as gone, meaning Grossman will have a new offensive coordinator next year, so probably a REAL offense to learn too. So why waste him??.......JMJ

Jauron and staff are trying to save their jobs and not necessarily doing what is best for the team. if we have no chance to make playoffs, then its time to see what the kids can do. we've already seen what the starters can do. we need to start preparing for next season.

We agree to disagree. No big deal. I'm much more concerned with the status of Lofton, Grudzilanek, and Goodwin re-signing with the Cubs. They either have to accept the Cubs offer, or find another team to play for, because if they don't sign by tomorrow night, the Cubs can't sign them until after May 1st of next year......JMJ
