my head is spinning trying to get a grip on this whole situation....i've done some research on the b&s board and they are on the exact same page as i am....i mean we all heard it for the first time at the shelter 12 year anniversary, reacted to it in the exact same way ( i was more or less dehydrated and completely tired...) got up and danced/felt like never EVER before...as in we had some otherworldly experience! i am not joking you guys....when i say i thought i was in some other dimension feeling that thing i tell you the HONEST TO GOODNESS TRUTH!!

we're all looking for details and no one knows a thing, timmy played it at shelter again 2-3 weeks ago and everyone knows this mystery track as "obatala" and everyone's sure it's by joe claussell.

the other one's called "simple" also by joe claussell (G-E-N-I-U-S x100)and i know louie vega played it here in toronto off an acetate on thanksgiving 2001!!!

it killed me and keeping in tradition.....i'm afraid i'll never HEAR these masterpieces ever again let alone see them released....

    any clues peeps?

homes, it don't add up any way you slice it!

i mean these records are NOT your average "yo this record's alright...ok-ish" kinda thing....these things are masterpieces imo.

judging by the reactions and feedback i see and hear after both these parties shouldn't these records be on their way to the shop?

    at least japan no?

    :(

`simple' is on a Japanese compilation - can't remember what it's called now - I'll try and find out. I heard MKL play this about 18 months ago

is this the one with the "ocean waves" sounds at the beginning and the ridiculous/savage flute tearing right through the entire track?

    if it is...i'm on this!!
