We have so many great online conversations about the "material", the "emotional", and the "spiritual" ... on a "spiritual" level, do you know (or think you know) why you were put here? What's your purpose in the universe?

I'll start: I believe that my main purpose is to unite like-minded people through music to work towards political socio-economic & societal changes in this world.
"MAY YOU LIVE AS LONG AS YOU WANT, BUT NEVER WANT AS LONG AS YOU LIVE. MAY YOU LIVE TO BE 100, & ME 100 BUT MINUS A DAY, SO THAT I'LL KNOW THAT NICE PEOPLE LIKE YOU, HAVE PASSED MY WAY. AND REMEMBER, WHEN FRANKIE CROCKER ISN'T ON YOUR RADIO, YOUR RADIO JUST ISN'T REALLY ON."

I used to think that my purpose had something to do with changing others on a socio-political level, but recently I've been thinking that my purpose is really to live my life and express myself in my own unique way, not following others but not trying to change others either - 'painting my own picture'. In six months I am due to have my first child, I wonder how my sense of purpose will change from there.

My purpose is to recapture that care free spirit that I once had whenever I was involved in new experiences. To strive to live a healthy both mentally and physically well being. To not let anything get me down or care about anyone elses judgement except for myself's. and to keep on housin all night long! Stay true to Jack peoples!

I think our purpose in the universe changes over the course of our lives.
What my purpose in life was 3 1/2 years ago was pretty evident and sustained me
up until recently - now I don't have any idea what my purpose in the Universe is. Hopefully in my attempt to achieve some of the goals I have in life my purpose for this phase in my life will be revealed.

    Good question.

I've live one lifetime in this life. I learned that love is tru, even if it is wasted. If Jehovah knows that you are tru to it, even to the point of near insanity, he will give you the ultimate peace of mind. So if I had to say since I have been here, I actually have seen the way that Love is. " I arrived at the funeral of my greatest love, though love ont returned, and on that day I was asked to give her eulogy.

Now my mission in life is to creat the worlds largest multimedia addition to the AOLTW Corporation. The greatness and the relavance are to be determined by U, the viewer, the member.

So I have go from LOVE to MONEY.

so far as I can figure, right now, it's to express myself creatively, to raise my son, and to bridge cultural barriers.

But that sounds so damn cliched.

So, I'm obviously going to have to give it more thought.

C hristian, from so many of your posts I would say you seem quite the activist at heart.

you know, I was just talking to Marv tonight. I don't think I post that much. I mean, at least compared to what's going on in my head, you know? I don't get out like 5% of what's going on in there b/c typing takes too damn long! And this boy needs a jobby job! But i guess, some think I do post a lot. But I'm not even to 1000 posts yet. I dunno. It's funny, people's perceptions.

But you may be one of those that seeks out certain people's posts. I'm the biggest culprit of that. B/c dammit, some people on here have got some brain activity going on in here!

Hell yeah! I called up Ramsey Clark's office to offer up my services with whatever he has brewing. I was referred to a guy with ANSWER, but that guy has yet to call me back. Of course, this entire town is on vacation in August...(except me)(I have an involuntary vacation going on right now.)
