Seems that the couple in NJ who are accused of starving the foster kids in their care nearlyto death ( the kids were alleged to be eating wallboard to survive) have a new defender - the minister of their church. This fool has determined that the kids did indeed have an eating disorder ( wow what are the odds of adopting three kids of different descent who all have an eating disorder - shit they should have been playing lotto with that luck).

    The kicker - the kids are all gaining weight and responding to food outside of the foster parents care.

    Please, someone shoot this clown.
    As for the charges against me, I am unconcerned. I am beyond their timid lying morality, and so I am beyond caring.

    It's just like that guy who raped the little girl and his church ended up standing behind him too. I understand the concept of forgiveness, but I don't understand the need for the church, any church to stand behind someone who does something so heinous!

    perhaps this is why folks need to get involved. so many times we want to mind our own business. i think perhaps we could start to change by being more friendly to the people around us so our space is more positive. perhaps those of us with the energy to do so, could spare a few more smiles, a few more greetings.

    on the most fundamental level, it's about quality of life.

    Too disgusted to even comment. No remorse shown at all by the foster family.

    Being raised in the country in a predominately black neighborhood, we looked out for the "other folks churn". I was just telling the story this morning of when I was growing up the mean ole neighbor who used to tell me to get off her porch, but as soon as my mom went looking for me, she knew where I was because she watched us kids, cause she cared really bout our well-being. We have that European attitude where we mind out business these days and that's why kidnapping and such are happening by large numbers. I agree with you. I think today I will greet everyone who crosses my path.

    The churches these days have turned into political institutions of worship.

    There was a foster family (white) who adopted a little black girl and they killed her because they forced her to drink water. She drunk so much water (they found in her body) that it actually killed her.

    It's not a "European attitude" - American society is such that two incomes are required for "survival". Parents are stuck being cogs in the machine and no one is left to care for children. Elders and children have to be institutionalized for care while parents run off to have their mortgages and pensions stolen by our elected officials so no one is around to sit on the porch.

    Like most everything else in America, church/religion/worship has turned into "big business", so we shouldn't be surprised when the preachers come with an opportunity to market their bullshit.

    Let me guess, the same place that I got the idea that blacks have the african attitude that makes them starve their kids.

    Amen...preying (no pun intended) on the hopes/hopelessness of the community. Have you noticed in the "urban" neighborhoods, how many storefront churches there are??? Just travel up Ashland, Halsted or State in Chicago (I'm not counting the east/west streets) and count the number. You'll see it's a business based upon who can get the most to follow and contribute to that "plate" every week.

    </font>
say something danny. your always on point. parents don't even have time for their kids. kids have become more of an inconvience these days than say the future of our world.
