Track meet? Parties? Both? I'm a track and field head, so I'm there every year for the meet. Any deep house parties in Philly that weekend?

Yeah, and some fast runnin' cats at that. Looks like 3/4 of the damn state runs the high school 400m in under 50, and the 4/200m in under 1:30. Know about all the big schools, too. Permian, Skyline, Carter, Woodlands. Y'all some track runnin, football playin cats.

Got to get down there one time.

    The Big Four:
    Penn
    Texas
    Drake
    Mt. SAC
Kansas used to be up there, but fell off.

I may try and make it. I went last year for the 1st time and saw Marion Jones, (Mo Green & Tim Montgomery). Didn't get to see Gail Devers do her thing because the relay team dropped the damn baton.

Oh, but don't forget we are some Baseball playing cats, too. The buzz around town a few years back was that Michael Johnson came down for the relays.

</font>[/QUOTE]On baseball, we got the Texas born headhunter himself, Mr. Clemens.

I remember reading the book "Friday Night Lights", on Permian. Folks in Odessa didn't like that book very well. They were portrayed in that book as very obsessed, and with football as the be all and end all.

Tell me something. Do y'all really get 20,000-30,000 for high school football games? That's sick!!!!!

Marion and Tim's got a cookie in the oven right now, so she won't be running this season.
