Thread: Sealed, old Harmon Kardon home audio speakers..repair?

    can i repair these old, sealed Harmon Kardon speakers? is it possible? They have blown woofers. should i just chuck them?

    Do the woofers not have screws on the front you can get to? It should be as simple as unscrewing it and replacing it with a new driver. Just make sure you get the polarity right.

    they don't look like a conventional box speaker even though they are boxy. One can't see where the front is. The wires go in from the bottom. you know those kites that look like boxes? that's the closest thing i can think of for how they look.

    The driver is still probably good....just recone them ---- I would think so??
