In this snowstown I am coverting some of my favorite cassettes to share (MP3 available if wanted) and get some track IDs.

The series...I guess, is Called "CCC" which stands for "Cheddi's (Favorite) Converted Cassettes".

This link is Side A of a cassette from DJ Bruno from Boston. I have tried numerous times to get Track IDs from Mr. Bruno over the years with no luck. (If you are reading this Bruno; I will take them down if it is an issue for you).

This tape alone helped me better than a 12 step program in regards to getting all the hardcore HIPHOP I ingested while upstate (college of course ;) ) out of my system and getting back to Dance Music.

Enjoy and please if you can share some tracks IDs.
Side 2 is on the way and many other mixes and clips which I have had no luck ID-ing over the years.

Not as many IDs but what the heck...

1. starts @ exactly 45 seconds, it cuts off @ 1:31 (sorry 15 second gap)

2. 24:00 samples Cameo right?

3. 25:04 a new record or the same as #2???

Thanks In Advance (I hope).

I thought the machismo would fuel responses.

Found out that Side 1,
#1 is Shawn Christopher "Make My Love"
&
#5 is Donna Delory "Think It Over"

I believe the tracks coming in at 24 minutes is a Cameo sample and I also believe that this may be 95 North production. Thinking back to tracks such as "Red Sun Groove" and "Gotta Get Up" the synth flute solo sounds like something Richard Payton would do.

Peace

How sad (again).

This site use to be about track id's more than anything.

But now they go ignored while everone has to talk about their pathetic fucking relationships blah blah blah Rickey Lake blah.

</font>
DJ Bruno! A buddy of mine has this very tape. A lot of Hartford cats were sweatin' him back in 1995/96. Cool brotha, I spun a few of his parties back in 1997/98.

I believe that 24:00 and 25:00 are one in the same. I never owned this track, but I do know that it was a Bruno staple. The track came out on Emotive records - I think the title is "Bassline."

I need to start burning my tapes to cd. I did numbered mix sessions (e.g. "mix no. 47"). Got up to mix no. 69 (I was busy and hungrier back then) and stopped with the cassette recording - haven't burned too many cd's though. Now if I can only get my hands on some 90 cdr's :(
