    OK I am sure I have this track, but cannot for the life of me remember where or on what.

    It is new (last 18 months), kind of a loose jazzy vibe (like Fluid Ounce stuff, or even 4 hero to a degree), has a Nina Simone sample (sure it's her), looped saying:

    'I want you to get together' or some such.

    it is really annoying me now.

    help me.

    Sounds like St. Germain's "Rose Rough" on Blue Note.

    This was released around 2000.

    OK I have a version of this with full on beats, the one I heard was like a jazz rework, no real kick in there, just like brushed hats and stuff. Were there remixes by anyone?

    the "full on beats" mix sounds like it maybe the blaze shelter mix which was the only remix I can remember for it. can't say I was really feeling that mix to be honest, I much prefer the original, which has that jazzier vibe you were referring to :D .
