    =====================

    Peter James:
    Born and raised on Long Island, NY, Peter James was surrounded by music at an early age. Throughout his youth, Peter was exposed to the fundamental and harmonious sounds of classical music from his mother and the fun and dynamic sounds of 50's rock by his father. All of this came together at the ripe old age of nine, with the 1984 release of Van Halen's album of the same name. Since then, music became a staple of Peter's daily diet. By the time he was an adolescent, Peter had grown fond of the sounds of heavy metal, most notably Iron Maiden, followed then by punk & hardcore with the sounds of the Misfits, Minor Threat, Black Flag, and Youth of Today. Shortly after graduating in 1993, Peter was introduced to house, techno, and breakbeats by the sounds coming out of the now legendary clubs Caffeine & NASA where he was usually found jackin' his body out on the dance floor. At these places and raves around the tri-state area, Peter became heavily influenced by the sounds of Doc Martin, DJ Spun, Josh Wink, Jason Jinx and Frankie Bones. After picking up his own set of turntables one year later, Peter looked upon his influences for inspiration and began a journey that is still continues on today. Funk, groove, bump, and jack will always be found in his sets that range from deep house to acid to tribal and a touch of techno. Nothing motivates Peter more to move a room than people on the dance floor flowing with his groove.

    Pelham123:
    pelham123 has been involved with music since the fourth grade, playing in school concert bands through high school. Additionally, beginning in the ninth grade, he taught himself to play drums and fell in love with their raw rhythm. This penchant for throbbing beats carried over into his musical tastes at the time, which included metal, hardcode and punk. Bands such as Quicksand, Fugazi, Tool, Snapcase, Pantera and Meshuggah received heavy rotation in his CD player. Shortly after entering college in 1996, he discovered a new love while on the radio at WRPI and attending SUNY Albany’s EDMS parties: DJing. He began honing his skills in a trial-by-fire manner by hosting numerous radio shows and spinning at more than a few parties throughout his tenure at RPI. Following a post-graduate move to New York City, pelham123 was introduced to some real down and dirty house music that truly opened his ears to the four-on-the-floor formula, broadening his then breakbeat-oriented style. Although now mainly a house DJ, he is still known to throw down some breaks and dance favorites from time to time to spice things up. Tracks by Lawnchair Generals, Inland Knights, Pete Da Feet, Da Sunlounge, John Tejada, Jason Hodges, and Greenskeepers regularly find their way into pelham123's sets.
