Anyone using hardware sequencers/samplers? help me out please

All though i see a lot of poeple using more and more software for music production, hardware sequencing is still an option.
Im thinking about moving on to a RS7000 or a MPC, because the pc is driving me nuts.

Has any of you got good experiences with some of the contemporary stuff like MV8000 MC909 RS7000 MPC etc???

yes, love the RS7000 and it's little brother the Rm1x, but you already know that ;)

Yeah ive checked the RS7000 its got nice features, only the nongraphical display is disencouraging.
Sounds great though, and the patternsequencing thing is nice, especialy for technoish stuff

I work with an mpc1000. It has pretty much the same sequencer as the mpc2000/xl (which I've also worked on) minus some capacity (100k/300k notes). Tight, reliable and easy to use. Plus, it gives you a lot of options.

If you go with an mpc, I'd recommend either the 2000xl or 1000 (it's the features besides the sequencer that you'd have to go over for yourself).

Well its complicated, i got a lot of reasons to use hardware sequencing/sampling in stead of software
1 RSI
2 My pc is to slow and i got problems with drivers wich i havent been able to sort out. To solve this i must buy a new pc wich gonna cost me 900euro's at least. (via via chipset bullshit and some other stuff)
3 Hardware is more skillbased,,, skillbased mastery of an instrument is more expression,,,, more expression is better music period
4 Hardware is more fun.


MPC1000 is nice, im still thinking about that one

I find the the best thing and easiest I have dones is to use Cubase on a PC or MC to sequence an all hardware studio.... its very very easy and if you have a PC just for music it should run perfect
