i have no clue but it looks like it's a controler for some virtual turntables. maybe u connect it to your computer via midi or usb and u can control all those programs that let u mix 2 mp3s or so...

this topic is going really of topic..... the original poster wants to know if someone has hands-on experience with this vestax thingy..which by the specs seems to be an effect-processor..

I wouldn't necessarily say that the information I provided took the thread "of[f] topic".Originally posted by O'love:

The original thread starter asked if anyone ever used one of these or seen one?
The thread starter didn't state what was the intention of their inquiry.
They might, indeed, be in the market looking for a controller. Or possibly, another viewer of this thread.
Peace...

Respect, Olaf and Spin...
I was on the Vestax site and the Faderboard literally just "popped out" @ me. I did read the specs on it as it looked quite interesting. I was just curious to know if anyone out there has actually used one.
By no means do I do any "real" production work. I will leave that to the "producers". Although I've toyed around in a studio or two, I know my limitations!
Spin, thanks for the links. From the looks of it, Vestax just put a different spin on arriving to the final end product. I guess it just depends on what application you want to use the piece for. It's interesting. Sort of like the phrase sampler from Boomerang that allows you to record, loop and add more sounds to your creation. It all depends on how you want to use it.
Thanks...

as far as i can see its a preset sound unit to accompany a set of tables. u input samples or preset synth sounds and output them along with your tables. multi track multi samples etc etc
As far as i can see its another machine soon to be consined to the "have the balls to learn a real sampler kit" basket
IMHO: total bollocks

I don\'t mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that\'s how it comes out.....
