what's up dude,
I really dig the drum track. But to be honest i wasn't digging the string sound.
have a stab at a couple of tracks my friend and i made at www.myspace.com/housekeeping101 .
respect,
Juan
thanks bro.
i just listened to your tracks...dope shit.
i really dig the easy vibe of 'new year demo'...i kept on wanting some soft femal vocals to come in...something really easy and high pitched would sound dope over that.
alright...keep it movin.

it lost me a little in the middle section though .. i think i would have preferred that it stayed more on the initial groove throughout. also that flute doesn't sit right with me in some spots
thanks brian.
yeah, im totally removing that whole flute stuff in the middle...i am actually working it much along your idea....just keeping the orig flow and adding elements to that...
thanks man!
drilla, sound good man.
RE: strings...
get the same notes you used for the strings, put them on another track and transpose the strings up 2 octaves.
you will have the current strings and the transposed strings playing. the frequency spectrum should sound fuller. you can even slightly pan one set of strings to the left and the other to the right to give a wider stereo flavor.

thanks for the tip dan.
if anyone wants to check the link now, i just made a new version....same link...
alright.
strings?
i didn't even notice any strings .. i guess i need to listen again
edit: duh, new version ... i'll check it later tonight when i have a chance

yeah, i was assuming when people mentioned the strings they were referring to the flute sound, which sounds a bit "airy" at times and i can see how it sound like strings...
anyway, yes, i did remove them in the new version that is up now.
definitely improved imo
i think in the part where it breaks down in the middle it would be better if you kept the bug sounds going there, because it sounds almost too clean to me and some of the atmosphere kind of disappears suddenly
it also seems like it goes too long before those chords come back in.
just my 2

What's up drilla,
I like the arpeggiated synth you swapped over the flute. I give me a f#cking awesome industrial feel with out the goths. Good effin' choice.
I read some cats review and he suggestion tightening it up a bit. I agree. I small baby break would do. If i was on the dance floor I would love to dance to the drum track and the arped synth line. Build it up towards the end though.
